Each stroke of charcoal against the paper, each little detail added to the so-called "masterpiece." Izuku only had one thought; friend. The word friend was so...simple yet had such meaning to Izuku Midoriya. It just doesn't feel right in this situation. The word echoed in his mind as he continued swaying the charcoal stick along with ease. His eyes glanced back at the subject of the portrait. His tired, sorrow-filled eyes that would make anyone want to cradle their owner and take away all their pain and suffering. The owner of those eyes was, infact, Izuku Midoriya.

Katsuki Bakugou was loud and scary to Izuku but to others he was cool and "heroic."

He was Izukus classmate too. School is the only place where he can see Katsuki; capturing his features the best he could on a simple sheet of paper. A rough sketch covered the rest of the sheet lying out in front of Izuku, the eyes of the piece standing out above the rest. This felt right but, he knew it wouldn't last. It never does. He can never seem to get the image right. He continued swiftly dragging the charcoal across the paper, capturing the smug look of his classmate.

Not even close to finished but Izuku just couldn't stop thinking; why did I think we could be friends?

Izuku slowly lifted his eyes from the sketch, carefully studying his former friend. He had been in the same class as him for what seemed like a lifetime.

The greenette always hummed a sweet tune that only a few others near by seemed to hear. Katsuki was sitting at his assigned seat, a few away from him.

Katsuki was clueless to the attention he was getting from the green eyed male as he was chattering with his "friends." Izuku stared with a solemn expression, wondering why he couldn't speak to him that easily.

Katsuki, along with everyone else, was completely unaware he was the subject of Izukus thoughts.

Izuku adored art. He adored having a free reign of imagination, letting it run wild. He adored how he could picture just about anything and be able to make it a reality. He just loved that feeling. That...freedom that moment of escape from the real world. It all felt surreal but he should know, it was all real.

Izukus hands were scarily steady. His sketches and paintings alike had precise, perfect curves and edges. But never completely straight, to give it that hand-drawn feel he had always aimed for. Izuku had never received a bad word about his artwork, not even a whisper.

Always achieved the teacher's highest expectations yet they never seemed to care when Izukus head got beat into a desk. Nothing good ever came with that.

Everyone thought Izuku was annoying and useless, hence the nickname "deku." Useless. And that is why Izuku made it a goal to prove them wrong.

The most difficult thing to sketch for Izuku was Katsuki Bakugou. He could never seem to get Katsukis sketch just right. There was always something off about it. Izuku already knew the answer why. It's because he had started to despise Katsuki with a passion.

Perhaps he should draw him as a beast instead.

Izuku definitely did not hold many positive emotions towards the short-tempered teenager. Most of those disapeared when the bullying got physical.

Izuku Midoriya has two main fears. Explosions and...Katsuki Bakugou.

Katsuki Bakugou is a blond, red-eyed male that has been in Midoriyas life since birth. But that was not a good thing for a large portion of that time.

Infact, Katsuki is still in Izukus life.

Katsuki has tormented Izuku since the greenette was diagnosed quirkless at the age of four. Whether it was name calling, leaving spider lilys at his desk, to even leaving burns and bruises littered across his torso and neck.

Though, Izuku still wanted to believe they could be friends, but he knew it was impossible with the growing hatred he had for the blond.
