Brooke and Maya are fraternal twins. And they have a brother named Jackson, who started going to a different high school junior year. Brooke and Maya couldn't be more opposite, but they do share a few things in common.
They're both cheerleaders for the Tree Hill Ravens. They're Co-captains of the cheerleaders. The other things they have in common is one, their best friend Peyton Sawyer. The three girls grew up together and have been inseparable since grade school.
Maya may be co-captain of the cheerleaders but she's also quite opposite to Brooke, she's a good student and also a straight A student. Maya has two other friends Lucas and Haley. Aside from Brooke, Maya is not the type for parties unless it was after a game because of her duties being a cheerleader.
Maya tutors people at the tutor center.
Brooke and Maya's brother Jackson, he's the son their father always wanted. He goes to a different high school that their dad put him into. So Maya and Brooke don't see him as much anymore.
Maya works at Karen's cafe with Haley. Tonight, the Ravens had a game and that meant duty calls for Maya. After the game, Maya came to the cafe despite the team and cheerleaders having a party, she didn't care much for this one.
Maya walked into the cafe and she was greeted by Karen and Haley. They both asked her how the game was and Maya told them they won. She heard another ding from the door and Lucas walked in, "Hey, mom. Hey, Maya." Haley was in the kitchen, her and Karen had been making dinner. "Hey, hon," She said.
"It smells good in here. Did you change your hair?" Lucas asked. "If by 'change' you mean 'dragged a brush through it,' then yeah." Karen replied. Maya laughed a little and Lucas turned to her, "How was the game tonight?"
"Well, we won. What about you?" Maya replied and asked. "I won." Lucas replied. Haley walked out from the back, "The magazine pages are sticky again. Little perv." Maya laughed a little.
"Oh, hey, Luke. you been reading this?" Haley asked.
"Is that the 'why do I hang out with these people?' issue because you're on the cover of that, right?" Lucas questioned.
"No, actually, it's the 'my best friend is an idiot' issue, and look, there you are," Haley said.
"Haley, Maya, would you like to join us?" Karen asked.
"Hell yes, I'm starving," Maya said.
"How was your day, Maya?" Karen asked as the four of them sat down at the table.
"It was good, thank you. I always enjoy game days," Maya said.
"Haley?" Karen asked.
"Good, thanks... "Good" is relative, considering a third of the world is starving, which does not change the fact that I'm clumsy as hell. Did I tell you two that I fell down today? Yeah, slipped off the curb, face down, butt in the air. Too graphic? Sorry. I'll just be quiet," Haley said.
"So, I got something for you, Lucas," Karen said, changing the subject.
"Actually, I found it. Not that I was looking for something specifically, which implies some hideous sort of "Joey loves Dawson" scenario and completely creep me out, but, you know, we saw it, and..." Haley started to say.
"I think you should just give him the book," Maya interrupted.
Karen gives Lucas the book. "Wow, 'Julius Caesar'," He said.
"There's a tide in the affairs of men" – or something like that," Karen said.
"Nice. Thank you, guys. Thank you very much," Lucas said.
