~ I Didn't Think You Would Answer ~

Willow sat next to McKenna on her bed, they just got back from getting their nails done. Willow was scrolling through Mason Thames's Instagram, she has had a crush on him since the trailer for The Black Phone came out. She thought he was so pretty and he seemed very nice, McKenna had told her to DM him multiple times, but she was way to scared. "Dude Wills, are you going through his Instagram again?" McKenna said looking over to the brunets phone. "What no!" she said turning off her phone and putting it down.

Willow wanted so badly to message him, but she knew he would either think she was weird or not answer. Willow was convinced for some reason that he didn't know she existed, he did know she existed. Mason himself had seen her many times on Joe's Instagram and all her friends, he's even looked at hers. Mason wanted the courage to message her, but he was also scared of her thinking he was weird.

"Willow, just message him. I'm sure he will answer and probably want to be your friend." Willow listened to the words that came out of her best friends mouth, she rolled over and covered her face. "I can't, if he thinks I'm weird he will probably tell someone and then the word would get out and I'd get hate," she said, and McKenna rolled her eyes. "Mason seems like a nice guy I'm sure he wouldn't do that," she said reassuring the girl in front of her.

Willow sat up "Fuck it! What's the worst that can happen? Don't tell me the worst that can happen." McKenna smiled as she listened to the girl "ok! Let's do this," she said as Willow picked her phone back up and she opened a DM with Mason, she texted him a quick hey and then put her phone down. She waited for a response, if she would even get one.

After texting him she put her phone down, she looked at McKenna worried "hey, let's get in the pool to take you mind off of it," she said, and Willow nodded. They got ready and walked outside, they left their phones inside so that Willow wouldn't be checking her phone every 5 seconds. Joe walked out and sat in one of the chairs "so I got Wills to text Mason," McKenna said, and ended up getting splashed by Willow.

Willow got out of the pool and sat next to her dad "dad what if he thinks I'm weird," she said looking at him worried. "Trust me kid, he won't think you're weird. You are so cool, he would be dumb to not like you back." Hearing that made her feel a little better, a lot of her popularity came from Joe, and she knew that. She had a small part in Stranger Things and Euphoria, Javon got her a part as the younger version of the younger version on Lexi.

That's how Mason found out about her, he saw her on the Stranger Things Instagram page. He thought she was beautiful, but then he saw she was related to Joe Keery and immediately thought he wouldn't have a chance. When Willow finally got back to her room after showering and saying goodnight to McKenna in the spare bedroom. She grabbed her phone completely forgetting she texted and almost cried when she saw he answered.

Willow threw her phone down and ran to the spare room. "Holy shit!! He answered and gave me his number!" she said, and McKenna got up, and jumped up and down with her. "Did you text him?" she asked, and looked at her "not yet, I'm going to in the morning. I'm very tired," Willow said, and McKenna nodded softly "ok well I'll see you in the morning," she said, and Willow walked out of the room.

She walked back to her room and sat down, the smile on her face didn't leave. She sat on her phone until she felt the darkness take over. She passed out thinking about how her crush texted her back and gave her his number.
