BUILD

I woke up to loud laughter from outside, the door of the room I was in was left open so I could hear it.

I looked around the room. "Is this his room? Why pink and blue?"

I heard Sky's laugh again so I stood up and hurried out towards where the laughter was coming from.

I was about to call Sky when I saw how much fun she was while playing with Bible and yes I already know him.

I just let out a deep breath then approached them with a smile.

"Dadaaa!!" Sky called me happily

"I miss you so much baby. Why didn't you wake up me ha?" I asked while tickling her

"Dada stop it. I surrender." She said, this cutie little kid

But i'm not ready yet, maybe even you, Elmari, will be taken from me. I won't let that happen.

"Did the rain stop a while ago?" I asked Bible again

He smiled, damn that smile. I just avoided it and focused on my daughter who was now playing with Shadow.

"The rain stopped a while ago but Sky said not to wake you up because you look very tired." I looked at him, unable to believe what he said

"That was your daughter's decision, don't blame me." he defended himself while raising both hands as if he surrendered

"I hope you still wake me up. My daughter and I are bothering you too much." I said seriously

"That's fine. It's fun to be with and play with Sky, it relieves fatigue and stress. I just remember my son from her." he answered so I looked at him

Is he referring to Blue or does he have his own family?

"It turns out we both have our own children. I'm happy for you, you achieve your dream to be a father." I felt sad and disappointed

"You named her Sky the name that should be for our future child."

"At that time I couldn't think of any other name and that's really what I want to name my future child if it's going to be a girl, you know that, right?" I make excuses

"Yeah, that's what you said." he said smiling

I breathed a sigh of relief when he said that, so I called him my daughter.

"Ilmari baby, come here to dada." it came closer to us with a surprised look on his face

"Yes dada? Why you calling me Ilmari?"

"Nothing baby. Say goodbye to your uncle, we're going home." I said smiling causing Sky's happy face turn into a sad face

"But dada, I want to stay here at uncle Kairos's house and play with him. He's also a good cook, dada." it said happily

"Kairos ha? You really used the name Kairos." I said while looking at him

"You can visit here sometimes baby with Shadow and your nanny, ok?" I know Sky, she will not give up until I agree or she is not given something in return.

"Ok dada! Goodbye uncle Kairos, thank you for helping me and my dada. Thank you for playing with me and feeding me with your delicious cook." Sky said softly then hugged Bible

"Again thank you for helping my baby and making her happy. thank you very much Bible!" I thanked him then took Sky from his embrace, he smiled in response

"Sky Next time don't leave without your dada or if he doesn't know that you left, do you understand that? This kind of thing shouldn't happen again Build. Be careful on your way home." it said while looking at me

"It really won't happen again." I assure him

"Let's go baby. Get Shadow now Sky. Please just give our clothes to Sky's nanny when they come here." I said and started walking slowly

The two exchanged goodbyes again while I remained silent and watched them both.

If only your mom hadn't intervened, we would be happy together today.

I quickly wiped the tears from my cheeks when I felt that I was crying again. I hate being alone but you still choose to leave me, especially to the times that I badly needed you.

I was quiet until we got home. Our house is not very far from Bible's house but there are many detours so it seems far away and tiring.

When I looked at Sky, she had fallen asleep on my shoulder while I was carrying her.

I just stared at my daughter who was sleeping peacefully. I started to cry again. I'm sorry, baby, if you grow up with one parent by your side, I said before that I won't let my children grow up without a complete family, but I failed.

Four years later, the pain that I had forgotten for a long time resurfaced.
