Autumn

I'm just a girl.

I was sitting on a stump and Pan was standing next to me. we where watching the boys mess around when i looked up and asked,

"Do they ever get hurt playing like that?"

"Sometimes they will lose fingers, get cuts and bruises, but that's all i have ever seen with them."

"Oh sounds fun." i said sarcastically looking back at them mess around until i saw something i was familiar with.

I walked over to the group of boys who where shooting arrows and they looked at me.

"Can i try?"

They laughed, "You?" i shook my head yes. "Alright but your just a girl." One of them said handing me the bow.

Raising it to take aim, i shot and they all laughed at me.

"Wait!" i yelled holding my finger up and pointing. They all turned to look with wide eyes and saw that i had hit a further target hitting it right in the middle.

"Oh, don't worry boys i'm just a girl." i said setting the bow down on the ground and walked back over to Pan.

"You have some skill Autumn, when did you learn?"

"Ever since i was about nine i would steal some of the guards bows and arrows, then go up stairs to my bedroom and shoot my pillows."

Pan laughed, " What did your father say?"

"They never found out. Lets just say i was a sneaky child."

"Sneaky? Just how sneaky were you?" he asked

"Not your sneaky, just taking sweets from the castle kitchen."

I sat down on a stump and he walked over looking down on me.

"Oh come on that can't possibly be the worst thing you have done."

I looked down and laughed, "Your right it's not the worst thing iv'e done."

He raised an eyebrow and smirked like he always does at me. "What did you do then?"

I played with the loose thread on my dress as i told him the story. "Well um, my father was having a huge ball and i got one of the other kings drunk." Pan interrupted me,

"Wait, wait, wait a minuet Autumn where is this story going?"

I held a finger to my lips , "Well Pan if you would listen you would know exactly where this story is going." He raised his hands, "Okay continue." "Anyways i offered him multiple drinks and when accepted, i asked to borrow a few coins, he gave me more then i expected and i just saved up all the money i got that night from all the kings."

"What where you saving for?"

"I was hoping that if i ever escaped i could have some money to live off, but we see how that plan went."

"Yes i do see, but now you here in Neverland with me."

I blushed, "Thank you for taking me away Pan, thank you for not leaving me with my father, and thank you most of all for getting me away from all those villages, their not as nice as i thought they were."

"Yeah they seemed a bit grumpy but iv'e seen worse, iv;e done worse."

It was quite for a moment and kinda awkward as i looked over and saw Peter staring into space. "Do you want to get rid of that dress?" he asked quickly making me flinch.

"Uh, i don't know it depends what your thinking?" Peter pulled me by my sleeve. "Just come with me."

I followed him to the tree house and up the ladder.
