Life at Beacon Academy for the upcoming huntsmen and huntresses was for the most part amazing and the life any future warrior would want. The social atmosphere was amazing, the facilities and education provided to the students of the academy were beyond phenomenal. Amongst the more social students in the academy, one particular girl stood out as being one of the most popular girls at the academy despite having just arrived for her first year at Beacon. Yang Xiao Long of team RWBY was a social bomb, making friends left and right while having the most fun she could interacting with everyone around her. She was a good spirited person to be around and her fighting skills made her standout as a strong competitor amongst the female huntresses at Beacon, but there are still things that students require to progress through the academy, and the educational part was one department that Yang was somewhat lacking in...
"YANG!!!!" A cry of anger came from team RWBY's dorm as it was so loud it could've shaken the whole dormitory. "What are these!?" Yang's white-haired teammate, Weiss, asked as she held out three papers in front of Yang.
"Um...Papers...?" Yang asked as she nervously avoided looking at the papers.
"And what are THESE on the papers!?" Weiss asked while pushing them closer to Yang and pointing to low scores in red.
"Um...Someone wrote on my test before Professor Goodwitch could check them?" Yang asked as Weiss huffed in annoyance.
"Ugh! Yang! Don't you realize that everyone needs to score well in order to go on the next expedition!? Professor Goodwitch and Professor Peach were both scolding our classes for out recently dropping test scores! Me and Blake are most certainly going to be okay to go on the expedition, and I'm even getting Ruby to raise her scores, despite costing so much lien and cookies from the local bakery to keep her focused during her studies..." Weiss said in annoyance while glancing over at Ruby who ate a cookie nervously and avoided eye contact with her tutor.
"Jeez, Weiss, chill out! I'm gonna make it to the expedition." Yang said in confidence while standing up in front of the heiress.
"On this last test we have coming up, YOU need to at least score a ninety out of one hundred, to rack up enough points. Do you even know what the last test is going to be about?" Weiss asked as Yang put her hands on her hips confidently.
"Pfft! Yeah! Grimm Biology!" Yang answered with a smirk.
"Math." Weiss answered plainly as Yang face-planted in embarrassment. "Gosh, what are we going to do?! Math is your WORST subject, and I've already got my hands full studying with Ruby." Weiss said with concern as Yang stood back up.
"Well, I can just study with Blake, right? Problem solved." Yang said as Weiss shook her head.
"Blake is too busy running a whole tutoring group and there's already way too many people hounding her for help." Weiss said as she tried thinking.
"Why don't you ask Y/N?" Ruby asked from atop her bunk as the two girls looked up to their leader.
"Huh? Y/N? No way, he's like the most popular guy and cutest guy in our year. You know what that means..." Yang trailed off as her teammates looked at her in confusion. "Cute equals dumb. I'm sure he's in Blake's study group right now or hanging out with some girls." Yang said as Ruby tapped her scroll a few times.
"Actually he's got the top scores in all subjects among the first years." Ruby said while lowering her scroll down to show the ratings of the first year's exam scores in all subjects.
