Runaways

Chapter 1.

I was sitting in the hospital bed ready to go home. It was a quiet day today. No emergencies, no long doctor conversation's, no one coming to give me pain medications. I must've laid in that bed for hours on end without realizing. Suddenly I hear Theo running in the hall screaming <<Little brothers coming home!>> He ran in, face planted. He had this big bruise on his cheek now. Clairis walked in calmly and looked at me with a smile.

 <<Ready to come home you little devil?>> She asked me. <<Anything to let me go home and sleep on my bed.>> I was happy to know I was being discharged after being in that bland place for a month and a half. As we exit Richard Taylor, and his friends were waiting for us outside and tried to pick a fight. Clairis told me to run.

So, I ran for about a mile and wound up at William's place. I knocked and I yelled he answered the door. <<Calm down and breathe. What's going on?>> <<Richard Taylor! They- outside the hospital!>> I couldn't catch my breath. Luckily everyone else was at WIlliam's so they all ran to the hospital.

 Alrick stayed behind with me to make sure I didn't pass out from hyperventilating. I was scared, what if Theo and Clairis we're hurt. A million horrible thought popped into my head. I was panicking. <<Take a breather before you lose consciousness. Either way they got William, Liam and Miles they'll be alright Kohen. Don't you worry too much.>>

 Alrick and I waited for several hours. We played games chased each other around and ate cake a lot of cake. Finally, they came home but what I had imagined wasn't anything I had witnessed. Liam was carrying Theo on his back and Clairis, she was limping. That night we stayed with Willy and Ricky. That's what we call Alrick and William. Their parents were out of town, and they have a big house.

 Theo was laid down onto Willys bed, while he slept with me and Clairis in the living room. My stomach was in knots all night, so I didn't really get any sleep at all. I finally fell asleep around sunrise when I woke up Clairis told me I had slept till 2 in the afternoon. I woke up because I heard Theo screaming his head off.

 Someone was stitching up his hand and forgot to give him something to numb the pain. He passed out because of the pain he was caused. I wanted to go see Liam at his job, so I put my shoes on and I went over to see him. He gave me a bottle of water. <<What you doing here kid?>> <<Just needed air, do you ever think Richard Taylor his family and buddies will stop attacking us?>>
