Lying on the bed, you were sent to the clinic for trying to hit two birds with one stone. Your friend's birthday is by next week and you heard him wanting shiny Jigglypuff so severely, however, you also needed to work on your quests to save up on primogems. It was hard to balance work and your life, especially since you stacked up on quests to save up quickly on your desired weapon. Due to you trying hard to multi-task, you, unfortunately, missed seeing that one of the Jigglypuff is already casting a sleep spell on you. Trying to pull out your Pokeball while reading the next location of your quest caught you off guard when a sudden wave coming from behind threw you back. Before you knew it, your head became woozy, and your sight started to go blurry. Gladly one of your fellow travelers saw you passing out on the grassy terrain, and has brought you to the clinic for remedy just in time.
There the nurse has laid you on the bed, reassuring your friends who came running as soon as they heard the news about you getting critically hit by the Jigglypuff. "Y/N will be fine, the sleep effect will eventually wear off. For now, Y/N needs to rest until the—" Those were the last words you heard outside your room before sinking into a deep sleep.
You woke up in the same grassy terrain where you were hunting for a shiny Jigglypuff. Blinking a few moments before standing up, you mentally thanked yourself that the sudden attack of the wild Jigglypuff didn't hurt you that much. However, you were shocked to notice that your view was oddly high. You know you weren't that tall, and definitely, you got to wore heels before but this was a different kind of tall. Feeling a slight itch on your head, you tried to reach out to scratch it only to realize that you were standing on all fours. Looking down, you saw two pairs of yellow hooves and two pairs of brown hooves. You screamed. Ran about frantically, making loud Girafarig noises. You were trying your best to scream like a human but all that came out were the noises of a Girafarig. The panicking that surged through your body dragged you near the gate of Mondstadt. Startling other travelers, thinking that you were an enraged and agitated pokemon, everyone tried to avoid your path. Your neighs and constant jumping through tantrums did not help as the guards tried to redirect most people to another way around you.
Finally settling down, you realized where your hooves have brought you. Heavy breathing through your nostrils started to seize, backing away slowly from the gate to think of what to do next. 'Ok Y/N you got this. You're just outside Mondstadt. I'm sure someone can help you! Maybe Mona or Lisa will! But first, we need to get some attention so that they'll investigate!' you mentally told yourself. Going with your plan, slowly you tried to approach some travelers passing by the other route, giving out cute eyes and trying to look as calm as possible. Whenever they try to reach out to pat you on the head, you happily oblige. Eventually, the guards deem that you were not agitated any more, letting people approach you. And because of your cute facade and friendliness towards those who exit and enter Mondstadt, you quickly gained attention. Like an attraction that a circus or street performer induces, news about you began to spread. The kids were all hurriedly running outside the Mondstadt to see you, a unique pokemon that they haven't seen around that place as it was not a common ground for Girafarigs like you. The usual pokemon they see around the area were only Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Kirlia, and Wobbuffet. None of them have seen anything like you and being as friendly as you can, it only gained more clout among the residents. The local pub was quickly filled with buzz about this strange giraffe-looking pokemon outside.
Venti who was currently drinking with Kaeya, Rosaria, and Jean overheard the shift in conversation in most people entering the pub.
"I hope someone doesn't capture that creature! It seems unique!"
"They should capture it to preserve that pokemon"
"Call the trapper group! We got a bigger hunt today!"
Feeling a little bit curious, Venti told his company that he'll go check it out. "I'll go check what that unique creature they're talking about! Be right back! Don't start the shots without me!" "Go knock yourself out," Kaeya said before drinking his liquor on hand. Venti joined the crowd who were already trying to get dispersed by the security as it was causing traffic to many. Venti helped the situation to ease by ushering you farther into the field and away from the gate. You gladly followed, thinking that finally, you'll get the help that you need. Nevertheless, you still need to find a way to communicate. You try talking to Venti, telling him about your situation but on his end, all he heard were cute whining noises.
"Come on please do something! I'm a traveler! I think a Jigglypuff cursed me!"
"Oh you're so adorable," Venti cooed.
"Can you even understand me? Do you hear what I'm saying? Hellooo"
Venti continued to giggle and smile at you, making you realize that he does not understand whatever you were trying to say. Making a deep sigh that came out as a huff, you pouted your head, making him able to reach your snout to pet it happily.
"Aren't you just a sweetheart! Wait, stay right here, I'll be back ok? I gotta show you to my friends!" Venti jolt off running, giving you hope inside. Finally, your plan is working, in due course, they'll discover that you're a human. That hopeful thought remained in your mind as you happily waited for him.
"Come on guys! You need to see this" Venti whined as he tried dragging his friends up from their chairs. "Ugh fine," Jean said, while Kaeya only chuckled following Venti. They all looked at Rosaria who only said, "Go on without me." The three went back to see you, with Jean and Kaeya's eyes widened. "Whoa, that's indeed a new critter here." The captain grinned and went immediately to touch you without hesitating. You felt stressed that they were all touching you all over, that you tried to wag their hands off in frustration. "Guys, guys, give that poor creature a space! You're stressing it out." Jean tried to pry off their hands, sensing your refusal when you started neighing around them.
This time, you tried to think of another way to communicate with them other than words that only came out as weird noises or whining. Grabbing a nearby branch for a stick, you tried to write words on the ground, but the soil was dry, breaking your stick instead. You let out a huff once again, making Venti giggle and pet you more. Kaeya circled you, trying to observe and take note of your appearance, investigating each part of you. Jean however only watched from a distance and advised, "We should probably call Lisa, we can't just touch a new creature without knowing what it is." Hearing those words, you nodded happily, making Jean notice. Raising one eyebrow, she was also pricked with interest when she realized that you understand her. "It can understand us?" She softly asked. Venti just nodded and hugged your neck tightly, not letting go. "Sadly, as cute as this is, we might have to capture it to bring this to Lisa." Reaching out to her pocket to find a Pokeball, Jean dropped the Pokeball she just grabbed when Kaeya screamed.
While discussing, Kaeya was busy looking at your features when he found that little tail of yours with a brain of its own. Curiously, he tried to touch it only to get bitten, earning a loud shout from him and you stomping high. "AHHHHH! Let go! Venti help! IT WON'T LET GO!" Kaeya tried to pull his hand away from your tail currently fixated its teeth on it. "I'm gonna chop this little thing off!" Kaeya warned drawing his sword with another hand, only to get a huge yell from Jean. "No! We need it in one piece for Lisa!" You only panicked when you heard Kaeya's sword being drawn out of its case, making you run in place dragging him around. Venti yelled back trying to chase him and you around, "Why did you even do that Kaeya??!!" Jean sighed and face palmed, then picked up the Pokeball she dropped.
The situation became more chaotic as you headed towards the water while your tail is dragging him. But before you could head straight to the nearby water source, Jean chased and aimed with her Pokeball hitting you with it, absorbing you, and finally freeing Kaeya from your tail's grasp. With the hit of the Pokeball on your head, you sat up, inhaling sharply and waking up from your dream. Panting heavily, you felt relieved that it was only a dream. Lifting your hands, you smiled in relief when you saw your hands and arms once again.
Hearing noises outside your room, some of your friends brought visitors. "We're glad you're finally awake Y/N! Some of them heard reports of the attack so they came to visit, I hope you're well now." By surprise, they were with Venti, Kaeya, and Jean, making your eyes widen, and remembering your dream. You were staring at them for the longest time, and one of your friends noticed.
"Hey Y/N, are you ok?" Venti asked.
Snapping out of your stare, "Ah! Mhmm, yeah, I just had a wild dream, that's all" laughing away your embarrassment.
