The afternoon was warm, the breeze felt nice though. We'd walked a few blocks to get to this place. I look up to the building that towers over my height.
"Here's the place" Said she.
We walk in and check into our room. We set our bags down and she looked around while I sat down on my bed. "Are you alright?" She asked. I nodded in reply. I think I'm fine. So much has happened this time. "I'm going for a walk, would you like to come?" Asked she. "I'm good" I replied.
As she left I got up and look out the window. Our hotel room was quite high up. The people look as if they were ants.
Hours go by and then I see the lights. The lights of this city shine so bright. I step out to the balcony and breathe in the cold air. I look down and see cars driving around. I step closer to the rail and lean down to where my hair is almost in front of my face.
I feel at peace. I step up and sit on the railing. I hear the door open and see her come in the room. I quickly look down again and feel uneasy. I step off of the railing and back onto the balcony. Maybe next time.
