'You can never understand the end if you don't know the beginning'

A FEW MONTHS EARLIER

"You see all of this. One day it will all be yours and you will rule it like the queen you are" he says as we walk inside the coke cooking room. This is where all our drugs are cooked. We cook it from scratch than sell it. We don't really trust buying it from someone else cause you never know what it is they put inside. Coke can really be dangerous if you miss just one measurement or put the wrong product and we do not like upsetting our customers.

"I will make sure to it rises to the fucking top. I will run in the same way you are doing right now" I say with a smile of victory in my face.

"No no My Queen you will run this place how you see fit. Don't try to do things how I do them, but how you will be able to manage. After all no one can be good as me" he says with a smirk on his face busy praising himself.

"Oh come on as if. I see old age is finally getting to your big head" I say laughing making him laugh to.

"Hey I am a young and handsome gentle even Drake has got nothing on me" he says while doing a 360 turn.

"Dad where do you even know Drake from?" I ask him shocked.

"I have heard all these songs of his on the radio busy singing Fuck this fuck that. Today RnB has got nothing on the 90's RnB I am talking about Max well, Antony Hamilton ,Hod David, not to mention Luther Vandross. There is this song of his that I just use to love. It goes like this. Back when I was a child

Before life removed all the innocence

My father would lift me high

And dance with my mother and me and then

Spin me around till I fell asleep

Then up the stairs he would carry me

And I knew for sure I was loved

If I could get another chance

Another walk, another dance with him

I'd play a song that would never ever end

How I'd love, love, love to dance with my father again, ooh

When I and my mother would disagree

To get my way I would run from her to him

He'd make me laugh just to comfort me, yeah, yeah

Then finally make me do just what my momma said

Later that night when I was asleep

He left a dollar under my sheet

Never dreamed that he would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glance, one final step

One final dance with him

I'd play a song that would never ever end

'Cause I'd love, love, love to dance with my father again

Sometimes I'd listen outside her door

And I'd hear how my mother cried for him

I pray for her even more than me

I pray for her even more than me

I know I'm praying for much too much

But could you send back the only man she loved?

I know you don't do it usually

But dear Lord she's dying to dance with my father again

Every night I fall asleep and this is all I ever dream" he sings as he takes my hands making me dance with him. All the others have stopped and are looking at us laughing but he doesn't care his just enjoying the moment. I dance I long to his tune, even though he doesn't have the best voice but it will do. Once his done singing he lets go of me and the gang members clap their hands. He takes my hands and we bow, before Steve interrupts our little fun moment.
