And all I wanna do is stay with her
But I know all I have is one day with her"

Her presence is overwhelming. Everything about her is, her smile, her voice, the shampoo she uses, her perfume, and every little thing about her is overwhelming my senses.

We'd been in the car for well over fifteen minutes, and it did not make it better that she was right beside me. I don't think she's been noticing the glances that I steal from her, and she doesn't think I notice when she does the same.

I'm in no way hiding it but the way she looks at me is as if she needs or wants something. I need and want something, but again, probably not for the same reasons.

I keep my eyes on her until she glances my way again, holding eye contact I ask her, "what is it?"

Her eyes went wide for a second, I swear she's the cutest being I've ever seen.

"Do you know who it is?" She asked, eyes wide and wondrous.

See, if this was Micah asking I would have told him no and left him with that unsettling feeling of not knowing who it is. But it's not, it's her, so I'll tell her the truth.

"The meeting is with my father," I smiled, her reaction resembled complete nervousness.

The tips of her ears turned red and her pupils dilated, "oh." This woman, her voice went up at least a decibel.

"My father has finally decided to completely retire after four years of rotting away on the board." I leaned her way, "if you think about it he has become a bit of a Yogi bear." A joke to ease her stress.

A small chuckle escaped her lips, her ears returned to their normal color and she didn't seem as scared as before. My father is perceived to be a very scary man, even though he is nothing of the sort. You should see the way he crumbles for mama.

"Do you know why he didn't leave earlier?" Her questions are my favorite songs.

"He did not think I was competent enough to run the business. He said I was too childish and that I was a 'bambino viziato'." He told me that I had to but he didn't even think I could do it, what the fuck?

I could tell she had no idea what I said when her head tilted to the side and her pink lips parted slightly. "A spoiled child," I smiled, her confusion is adorable.

"Oh, well I don't think you're incompetent, I think you're doing an amazing job." Yes, but you could do better. Is this praise? Coming from her? Oh Dio, potrei morire, sono così felice.

"Thank you, that fills me with confidence, especially coming from you." Fuck that was not supposed to slip out.

She looked a bit taken aback by this, "what do you mean?"
