Jimin had his head down and was walking down the side of the road. He had a plethora of thoughts going through his head at that moment. Did Jungkook truly adore him, or was he just there to humiliate him? He doesn't know why, but he loved Jungkook's comforting.

Jimin, however, didn't care about Jungkook's comfort, right?

Jimin has never received comfort. The moment he finds comfort, he is unsure of how to respond. Problems for him are almost usually caused by his insecurities. As he approaches his front door, he sighs. But when he hears a scream, he is startled. And it was unquestionably his mother's.

He starts violently pounding on the door. He is aware of the situation. He is aware that his father is beating her. This is not what he wants. He keeps knocking on the door, but it stays closed. His eyes begin to tear up as soon as he hears his mother's piercing screams. He continues to bang on the door without stopping.

His mother quickly opens the door after that. Her eyes were swollen, her hair was untidy, and the belt marks on her pale skin were enough for Jimin to figure out what had happened. Rather than entering the house, he gave his mother a firm hug.

"It's alright Jiminah, don't cry." His mother said as she gave him a return hug and stroked his back." Mom, that's not okay. Jimin says while holding back cries. He realised his mother was lying. Not everything was in shape. Nothing was as it seemed.

"Stop being dramatic bitches and enter the house." Jimin's father spoke while disgustedly glancing at his son and wife. When Jimin felt his mother's hand touching his, he stopped talking and pushed away from the hug.

Jimin's mother gave a soft nod while motioning for Jimin to enter his room. As usual, Jimin followed her instructions. He moves in that direction. He hurls his stuff roughly before firmly locking the door.

Having shut the doors, he collapsed to his knees. His hair was tightly held in his hands, feeling defeated. He couldn't stop wondering why he was the only one who seemed to experience poor luck. Why is his life so difficult? And he was aware of what he had to do right away.

He stood up gradually and moved toward the bathroom. Yes, he intended to constantly remind himself of his bad luck. In order to remember everything, he's going to make a good deep cut into the body. When someone unexpectedly knocked on the door and caused him to gaze fearfully at the door, he was just ready to grasp the blade.

"Open the door, Jimin." Someone shouted in a whisper from the doorway. Jimin recognised it as his mother. He quickly blots his tears with the sleeve of his t-shirt. He smiled slightly when he opened the door. He didn't want to demonstrate his sadness or depression to his mother.

"Yes, mother," Said Jimin as smiled at his mother, albeit it was a touch forced because he wasn't really happy. His mother entered his room without saying anything and sat on his bed. Jimin approached her and joined her in sitting next to her on the bed because she was quiet and didn't say much. His mother broke the awkward silence by asking how his university life was going.

"It's doing well." Jimin said, glancing down to make it clear that he was lying. He has never lied to his mother and hasn't really talked to anyone much because he is aware of how awful a liar he is."Really?" Making Jimin gaze at her, his mother asked asked him. "It's okay, I won't ask any questions," his mother said with a smile and a nod.

"But can I ask you a last question?"  Asked his mother. He nodded his head as he glanced at her, signalling that she may ask him. "Hate your father?" Jimin's mother said as she reached for some coconut oil. Jimin was a little taken aback by the question she asked. He had no idea that his mother would ask him a question like this.

She returned and sat on the bed, motioning for Jimin to take a seat in front of her. In front of her, he went and sat down. "You didn't respond to me," Jimin's mother spoke as she uncorked the oil bottle and dispensed a small bit into her hands. Before rubbing Jimin's head, she rubbed her hands together.

"I don't hate him." Jimin said as he relaxed and closed his eyes during his mother's massage. He lied once again.
He despises his father so intensely that words fail him. Obviously because his father was never kind to him. He doesn't even recall the instances when his father was being kind to him.

"Even though I know you're lying, I'll overlook it." Jimin's mother said as she vigorously rubbed Jimin's scalp. Jimin's eyes widened at that statement. Naturally, a mother can tell when a child is lying. The idea that Jimin might ever adore his dad didn't even occur to Jimin's mother. But she  doesn't want Jimin to despise him either.

"Mom, I'm not lying." Jimin muttered anxiously. His mother sighed but said nothing else. "Why are you still with him?" Jimin inquires as he notices his mother's quietness. Yet again, his mother's laughter was pretty depressing. "I love him," she replied. His mother's reply startled Jimin, who turned to face her.

"How is it possible that you could still love him after all this abuse?!" Jimin yelled as he rose from the bed and sat down. Jimin shouldn't have yelled like  that at his mother but he couldn't help it. "You always tell me to keep quiet, so why can't you just let me express myself instead? I feel so alone in my own house!" Jimin continued yelling as he sobbed angry tears down his cheek.

"I'm sorry Jimin, but you shouldn't feel alone and you shouldn't yell at him just yet. We rely on him for everything, and if I leave him, you'll be the one who suffers the most. I want you to study and build your future, but if I leave him, your studies will suffer, and since I don't have any income, I can't support you on my own." Sobbing, his mother spoke before leaving his room.

When Jimin saw his mother sobbing, he felt terrible. He never gave it any thought. He wished his mother had a job to support them. He thought his own mother had an issue with him. Without him, his mother would already have filed for divorce from his father.

However, he has made a commitment to study harder and build a bright future for both himself and his mother.
