Pentheraphobia is fear of one's mother-in-law. This is certainly common in Asia as as I know.
This fear can be just us overthinking or having a mother-in-law such as Cinderella's step mum.
People might experience this cause of some issues they are experiencing at their in-laws place or abuse or not being treated well.
I don't have mother-in-law but if I ever get one who gives me headache let's just say she won't see another day
