everything happens for a reason

a job?

last night Cate came home while I was asleep. When I woke up the bed was empty cause she was already in the kitchen talking to Sarah.

sarah: look who's up! Good morning sleepyhead
y/n: morning Sarah, morning Cate

cate: morning babe, come here

she pulls me into a hug and kisses me.

y/n: how was work and everything?

cate: oh, it was fine, I think they wanna know you

y/n: know me? who?

cate: the ones me and Sarah are working with

y/n: wait, in the job you're doing there's Sarah too? Why didn't you tell me?

sarah: cause we thought you might like the outcome if you meet those people, we considered it as a surprise.

y/n: when are we gonna meet them?

cate: today, if it's not a problem

y/n: it's not a problem at all, it's my surprise. What should I wear?

cate: whatever you want, you always dress nice so it's not really a big problem

it's early afternoon now, we are all ready to go. The car ride isn't that long and soon we are in a nice building. Cate and Sarah seem to know everyone and I'm almost feeling lost. After a while, we are in a huge office with a long black table in the middle of it and red chairs that seem comfortable.

we take our sits, I am in the middle of Sarah and Cate. Soon two women and a two mans enters in the room and take their sits in front of us, and a man introduces everyone to me.

man: Hi, my name's Gary Ross and I am the director of this tv serie. This is Olivia, the screenwriter. And this two right here are Steven and Susan, our producers

y/n: nice to meet you, I am y/n

and I shake everybody's hands politely.

y/n: so why am I here?

susan: Cate thought you would have been perfect for the role we're searching for, It's a new but old thing, no one out there knows that it's coming out.

y/n: and this is their job?

gary: yes, and now that I see you, I think you're perfect to work with them

y/n: wait a sec, Gary isn't it? Gary Ross... Ocean's eight!

gary: you're right, that's me

y/n: cate what does this mean?

cate: ocean's eight plus y/n, ocean's nine. Not a movie but a tv serie

y/n: no way! If it's a dream don't wake me up omg

sarah: it's not a dream sweetheart, I think you might have a part!

olivia: she actually does! Let me tell you your character backstory and some things that will happen, and if you don't wanna take the job it's fine, alright? we were just searching for an italian girl when Cate came up with you.

y/n: alright, but you know, I'm taking it anyways

olivia: your character's name is Jade, a twenty years old girl who was left by her mom, Tammy, cause she was too young to raise a kid. Jade lived with her grandma for a while but she was kinda crazy so her italian neighbor proposed her to run away with her in Italy. She stayed there until 19 when she finished high school then she decided to search for her mom. She finds her a few months later, after turning 20. ok and here the first episode story starts. You found Debbie's phone number, cause you remember she was the closest friend of your mom. You call her and ask for Tam but she gives you Lou's loft address instead and a lot of things will happen: another heist, three love stories...

y/n: god this is cool! Can I guess the love stories?

olivia: haha you're so funny, of course you can!

y/n: Daphne and Rose?

olivia: yes!

y/n: Lou and Deb?

olivia: no actually and I want you to know why

y/n: oh?

olivia: Debbie was the one who wouldn't get over Lou, they had a love relationship in the past but it didn't work cause Lou wasn't in love, and Debbie wasn't either, it was all about sex

y/n: so, wait I love this ship, Deb and Tam?

olivia: exactly! the last one?

y/n: is Jade in it?

olivia: yes but I think that Cate would like to tell you this

cate: Jade and Lou will be together sweetheart

y/n: really? I am happy but everyone is gonna hate me! fantastic!

olivia: no, cause we'll show them Lou and Deb's past relationship, no one's gonna hate you, they will all wish to be you darling.

a/n: heyy, yes I said one chapter a week but you got two in a day instead! I was thinking about writing a new story about y/n being Jade in an ocean's scenario. I will to that 100% but not now, maybe in september. love you 💘💘💘
