It was just another ordinary day in the henituse territory. The perfect young master; Basen could be seen in his office doing the paperwork that needed to be done before the next noble meeting. He had been cooped up inside this office for the past 3 days. The only time he left was to eat and to go to the washroom.
Then, he heard a knock on the door. He answered for the person to come in and was baffled. There in front of him was his trashy Hyung who was an alcoholic. But he looked a bit different. His eyes were softer and he wasn't flushed. He was also wearing plain clothing with his hair falling past his shoulders.
Basen had to admit that he hadn't got the chance to speak with anyone for the past two months. Ever since, the count, his father had given him a bit more of the heir's duties he had been struggling. He only knew the family was well because lily would visit thrice a week. His mother was busy preparing for the art exhibition due next month.
After getting out of his daze he said "Sit down Hyung...do you want to say something?" he wasn't quite sure why Cale would visit him. They were not that close.
Cale frowned a bit at basen's appearance. He had bags under his eyes and had gotten skinnier. He also looked a bit like a mess. He sighed before asking while leaning against the chair; "Have you been taking care of yourself, basen?"
Basen widened his eyes at the question and then slowly nodded. He didn't know why but he felt a bit like crying.
Cale saw basen's hesitation and looked around the table. "Why do you have so much paperwork? You shouldn't be doing these until you're 18" Cale looked at basen for an answer.
The 16-year-old boy just looked away and said "Since I am the heir, I ought to do it soon anyways so I decided to do this a bit earlier"
Cale stared at basen for a good few minutes before standing up. Basen flinched a bit. He thought maybe Cale was disappointed with him for not doing all the duties perfectly and looking like a mess. When Cale was close enough, he closed his eyes a bit but then he felt arms around him.
He opened his eyes and saw Cale hugging him tightly. He did not know why but he felt tears coming out of his eyes. Cale just tightened his hug and said "Basen...You're Enough"
That was it. Basen began crying like a child in his Hyungs' arms. He had been under so much pressure the past few weeks that frustration and suffocation built up inside him.
He kept crying while Cale hugged him and made soothing circles on his back to calm him down.
That evening, the two brothers had a peaceful bonding while talking to each other. By the end of the night, they had become closer than ever and basen was smiling once again.
After seeing his brother happy again, cale patted him on the head and smiled a bit. Basen got flustered and began turning red. Cale just chuckled at his cute brother and kissed him on the forehead. He then left the room after saying "Get some food and sleep basen"
The boy just nodded and smiled at the bonding he had created with his Hyung.
