The morning wind was a bit cool, and the air was filled with a faint fragrance of osmanthus.
Ning Zhen tightened the strap of her schoolbag and stared in a daze at the gate of City A's No. 3 High School. At the right side of the gate, there was a LED signboard. Flashy red words slid across the screen - Wednesday, June 23, 201X, 07:21. Good morning, students.
The situation was exactly the same. Without a doubt, this was No. 3 High School three years ago. Even though it had been a week since rebirth, Ning Zhen still felt like everything was strange.
She stood by the left side of the gate. Gradually, the school entrance became lively, and students walked into the campus in groups talking and laughing. By this time, all day students should have arrived at school.
Ning Zhen stood hidden, but the sharp-eyed students couldn't help but glance at her several times.
The students were all wearing summer uniforms, which had the same style for boys and girls. A v-neck blue shirt and black pants, both of which were wide and large.
Ning Zhen looked out of place. She was carrying a schoolbag and tied a ponytail. She was wearing a white cotton and linen skirt with a pair of white sneakers on her feet, showing her slender white calves.
Ning Zhen also wore a light blue mask, covering most of her face. She had bangs hanging down on her forehead, and only a pair of eyes were exposed.
As many people stared at her, Ning Zhen felt uncomfortable and looked down at her white sneakers.
Suddenly her eyes were covered by someone. The person behind her whispered, "Guess who I am?"
Ning Zhen held her wrist and said very softly, "Tong Jia, stop making trouble. You're going to be late." Tong Jia dropped her hand with a smile and walked around Ning Zhen.
Seeing the mask on her face, she deeply inhaled, "Zhen Zhen, what's wrong with you? Have you caught a cold?"
Ning Zhen didn't answer her question. She said, "Let's go in." This was her first day at school, and it wasn't good to be late.
Tong Jia was a little worried about her. "Is the cold serious? Your voice also sounds a little hoarse. How could Uncle Ning allow you to come to school? Hey, since you are so powerful, it doesn't matter if you come a few days later."
Ning Zhen was not good at lying. So, she vaguely mentioned this topic. On their way to the teaching building, Tong Jia couldn't help being excited and talking all the way. "It's great that you can come to the Third High School. Your previous school was too strict. The evening self-study lasts up to 10:40 pm. Not humane!"
"Although the grades of the Third High School are not better than that of the First High School, here you have freedom! Zhen Zhen, you are in Class 7. Let me tell you, there are some super handsome boys in your class. Hahaha!
"They are responsible for the face value of our grade. I just heard that they are very messy. They smoke, fight, engage in puppy love, and many other bad things. The dean is so angry that he doesn't care about them anymore."
"Hey, Zhen Zhen." Tong Jia suddenly leaned close to her ear, "You quietly take a few pictures of those boys and pass them to me, OK? If you can't take everyone, you can take pictures of Lu Zhi. Last time, I saw a picture of Lu Zhi's profile picture on Dong Xuewei's mobile phone. Heavens! He's so handsome!"
Ning Zhen's knuckles were pale, and her breathing stopped when she heard the name Lu Zhi. She shook her head, "I don't bring my mobile phone to school." So there was no way to take pictures.
Tong Jia sighed regretfully, "Oh, I forgot, you were strictly controlled at No. 1 High School. You were not allowed to bring mobile phones."
As the two little girls talked, they arrived at the teaching building. Ning Zhen's classroom was on the second floor. Tong Jia's was on the far right of the third floor. She waved at Ning Zhen, "I'm coming to see you after class."
