STARE (Taehyung × Reader)

I was still on that position. Then I heard a thud. Someone fall on the floor harshly. It means only one person died. But who? I don't have enough courage to open my eyes. I don't want to. I don't want to face the reality. I just can't. It's not possible. I can't see something I don't wanna see in front of my eyes.

But the I heard something. "Jungkook?!", Seokjin yelled.

What? Jungkook? What happened?

Questions hovered on my mind. And finally I opened my eyes curiously. And the scene I got introduced with was......

Taehyung and Seokjin both were still on their previous position which I saw before closing my eyes. But the man wasn't there anymore. Instead of him , I saw Jungkook standing. A lil bit far . His right hand was holding the handle of the door as the door was still slightly opened. And in his left hand he was holding a gun, pointing towards me now and still smoke is rising from the gun.

I picked at the floor. The man was lying lifelessly in the ground on his face. He was bleeding a alot and the floor was full of blood.

That means Jungkook shot him.

He shot him right before Taehyung or Seokjin could get shot.

I was just praying for a miracle. Praying for someone came to save. And he came like an angel. I felt happy. I felt proud. I felt relief. I felt excited. I don't know how many feelings I felt at a moment.

I don't know from where I got the energy on my body to run . But I wan and hugged Jungkook as tight as I can. And the only word I could say is Thanks.

His gun dropped . Hearing the sound I broke the hug and looked at him . His face was still unreadable. Maybe he got scared of what he just did.

Then I looked back . They were alive. I quickly hugged Taehyung. I thought I could not. Just a moment ago. I didn't know if I can hug him again or not. But I can now . I started crying. And through my tears I removed all my feelings. He patted my back and kissed my head . I'm that silent room my crying was the only thing to hear.

But soon Seokjin broke the silence by yelling. "Jungkook are you mad? You just killed him. You shot him. You could do just anything.... Anything else. But why did you killed him? You literally took laws in your hand and you could be punished", he yelled.

Realization hit me. I'm the one who knows the law the most. I broke the hug and looked at Jungkook. I was unable to talk so I started wiping my tears.

" Taehyung hyung please tell him not yell at me", Jungkook said.

" Yahh! What did you say? ", Jin yelled even more louder.

"What can I say", Taehyung said calmly.

"Guys wait. He did in self defense so-", I extended my give fingers and started explaining but Jungkook cut me off.

"No! I didn't. It wasn't self defense", he said.

"Huh? What do you mean!" I exclaimed with wonder.

"I mean..... I had permission. You know he flee from the jail. All the police system is searching for him . Everyone knows that he is very dangerous. And I was with police. They started curfew like if anyone see this man can shoot him . And police gave me this gun cause I know him. His face", he explained and we all mouthed a "O".

"But the fact is I'm confused. I just killed a man and I don't even feel bad let alone guilty ", he said looking at his hands .

" Because he wasn't a man he was an animal ", a soft voice said from a corner .
