Roy steps out of his red Trans Am. He takes a blue cloth and wipe his chrome rims down. His car looks clean and very well maintained, although it's 20 years old. It was a birthday gift from his father before he passed. He looks at his mustard seed necklace his father gave him on his deathbed. He smiles at it, knowing he's no longer suffering. He walks in the huge house. The place looked reorganized.
"This place looks clean." He said to himself.
He looks around, and sees Asia, Auja, and Brittany in the kitchen. They looked his way.
"Look who's finally home." Asia smiles.
"Sorry, had to visit my father's grave today." He tells them.
"How are you feeling?"
"Well I don't feel too bad, considering he isn't sick anymore."
"I'm glad you're seeing the brighter side." Auja said.
"Yeah I mean, I don't see any point of grieving over him everyday." He shrugs.
"You're strong for sure." Brittany hugs him.
He hugs back and smiles.
"Ima go upstairs and chill a little."
"Dinner will be ready in a few minutes." Asia tells him.
"Bet."
He goes up the stairs and walks down the long hallway to get to his room. He shuts the door and slams himself on his bed. He picks up his pad and began writing.
Dear pops,
I know you've been gone for a month now. I just visited your grave. Man... I just wanna say thank you for teaching me a lot of shit when I was younger. You've taught me to be strong and not to worry about little things. You even taught me how to fix cars. Now that's dope. I'm currently living with some friends, and they're always there for me, man. I love them. Don't you worry about me. I'll be alright. I'll be strong for you.
Your son, Roy Johnson Jr.
He puts his pad down and looked at his window. It was already pitch black. The streetlights outside are what's illuminating the neighborhood. Someone knocks on the door, then slowly opens it. It was Brittany.
"Hey, dinner's ready."
"Bet here I come."
He climbs out of bed, and ran out his room, playfully tackling Brittany. She laughs.
"Omg stop playin!"
Everyone is downstairs. Asia and Auja got all the taco ingredients ready for them to devour. Asia's baby girl is sitting on the hi chair, ready to eat. Asia goes to her 7 month old baby.
"You ready to eat my sweet baby?"
The baby laughs.
"Alright little babies, time to eat!" Auja announced.
"Aye I ain't no little baby." Brandon pouts.
"You're a little baby to me." She smirks.
"Man you lucky I like you." He mumbles.
Auja and Asia looks at him.
"I'm sorry, come again?"
"Huh?"
"If you can huh, you can hear me boo."
"Oh I didn't say nothing." He shrugs.
"Mhm, lemme find out." She smirks.
Roy and Brittany made it to the table, laughing. Abe, who's in the kitchen, watched as the pair sits down.
"What y'all two lovebirds up to?"
