CHAPTER 11

(Continuation)

“Thanks for making my night wonderful” I shouted through the hallway. I stepped two steps up the stairs. Niall and Marie stopped. I wipe away my first tear and decided to run back down stairs and I accidentally bumped into Liam.

“Wha-What’s wrong?” Liam asked, shocked of my attitude.

“P-P-Please t-take m-me a-aw-a-ay f-from h-here” I said between my sobs.

“Wait Paula please! It was a mistake! She, she did it to me, please let me explain!” I heard Niall shout. I t just made me cry more. I shut the door behind me loudly. Liam assisted me towards his car and we drove away. I kept my hands on my face to hide my tears. Liam stopped the car and I removed my hands from my face to see where he brought me.

Cool Breeze.

Splashing waves.

This is the beach.

“W-Why h-here?” I asked as Liam helped me out the car.

“Because, ever since Dani broke up with me, I always went here, and it eased the pain she caused me” He said, sitting on the sand. I sat beside him, wiping every tear that was left on my face.

“So, tell me, What happened?” Liam said, although the splashing of the waves were loud, I could still hear his calm voice.

“Niall cheated on me” I said,  holding back these stupid tears.

“How?” He asked. Boy, how could Liam be this calm?

“He- He was kissing Marie on the hallway upstairs, a-and they looked like they were going to get some cause Niall was- was” I said, I was trailing off when a picture of Niall grabbing Marie’s arse was awfully entering my mind. I burst into tears.

“Shh” Liam calmed me down.

“Do you remember what I told you last night?” He said. Then I remembered.

-FLASHBACK-

“Dani wouldn’t answer!” I told Liam.

“You know what? I don’t care anymore, maybe I want Dani back, but it isn’t right this second time around. I never thought this would happen, I thought I would hear wedding bells ringing with her walking down the aisle. But I guess happy endings are not for me.” He said, his head turning down.

“Oh Liam, Dani was lucky enough to have you, but she chose to give the luck away. It was not your fault Liam, and happy endings are meant for everyone, it just won’t happen until you met the girl that was meant for you.” I said to comfort him.

“You’re right. I’ll just have to wait for that perfect girl.” He said happily.

A short moment of silence came and Liam looked like he was thinking of something.

“But what if Niall did that with you? What if he cheated on you? Would you still accept him when he asks to be? Or would you just throw him off?” Liam asked me. I never thought of that situation before, I mean, I thought Niall and I were perfect, but I guess problems are un-escapable.

“Well, I don’t really know”

“You know, you have to think of those situations as early as now, so that you would handle them calmly in the future, but don’t over think them, you might just get paranoid,” We chuckled lightly, considering this as a serious matter.

“Do you trust Niall?” He asked.

“Of course I do”

“You know, I trusted Dani too, a lot. And it added to the sweetness our love has. But when that incident happened, it hurt me a lot too. I always thought she would never do that. So just to warn you, all those people you trust, like Niall, can always hurt you, and they could even hurt you the most. Things like these can always happen. We can’t predict our lives, so we better prepare ourselves for it.” He said.
