Drowning Delusions || An ii fanfic ||

Chapter 1

Suitcase's POV:

Ever since Mephone4 left for whatever reason it's been quite lonely here. It's just me, Lightbulb, Baseball, and Knife, the remaining four contestants on Inanimate Insanity. I honestly didn't care that much if I won or not, Ive had enough here. After Nickel and Balloons elimination, I've had a lot on my mind. I feel really bad for Balloon, they didn't deserve to get out, but I can't help but feel bad for Nickel. Was I too harsh during his elimination? No he completely deserved it! After all he was just using me to get farther in the game. But-

"Hey Suitcase, watcha thinkin' about?" Lightbulb popped out of nowhere, startling me.
"Ah nothing much, just about the contest. I wonder if Mephone will ever come back."
Lightbulb came over and sat next to me.
"I think it has to do with that corn guy, but I'm sure he'll be back! Are you upset about it or something?" Lightbulb questioned.
"Nono! I'm kinda glad actually, we don't have to be all worried over the competition. Honestly, it hasn't been treating me too well."
"Why's that?" Lightbulb asked.
"Well, recently I feel like everyone is so.. on edge, including myself.

...

Silence.
I didn't know how to word it. It's all so.. confusing!
I sighed and continued.

"I just feel so bad after the whole alliance and Balloon thing. I just wanted to stand up for myself and tell Nickel how I really felt! I don't know if I was too harsh though, and after the whole thing I've always felt that there is some sorta of tension between me and the other contestants.. I mean, you seem ok, but Baseball is always thinking about things and Knife just never wants to talk to anyone!"
Lightbulb didn't say anything. She just sat next to me.

Eventually she spoke.
"It's been hard for all of us. Honestly it's all so confusing to me, I feel like I never know what's going on sometimes. I sorta just try to make the best out of things but sometimes I feel that people get annoyed with me. I feel pretty dumb for not understanding everything that's going on.. it's just so much at once! Plus I'm upset about Painty, Testy, and Fan all being eliminated.." Lightbulb ranted.
"But hey! We shouldn't get all sad over them, they are probably having a nice time at the hotel! So brighten up Case!" She exclaimed.

"Aw Lightbulb, you're not stupid. It's a lot to take in, even for me. You're an amazing friend and you can really cheer anyone up! I'm glad that I have someone still here with me." I responded. Lightbulb is a rather goofy person, but she is very comforting, Im honestly glad that she's still here.

"I'll always be here to brighten your day!" She exclaimed.
"After all, I'm the brightest bulb in the shed!"
She added.
"Heh, you sure are!" I laughed.

We sat there in silence, looking at the sun starting to set. It was peaceful. It's quite relaxing. I felt as if all my thoughts had just dissolved. At least for now.

Lightbulb's POV:

Me and Suitcase sat next to each other while watching the sunset. I usually have a hard time staying in one place but this is pretty nice actually! The only other person who got me to calm down a bit was Painty. They were pretty calm most of the time so I guess we even each other out! Like YinYang! I wonder how Painty is doing at the hotel. They better be taking good care of Baxter! I kinda miss him, but im sure Painty is taking good care of him! What about Testtube and Fan? Hope they are good too! Maybe I should stop thinking so much..

Suitcase's POV:

I just sat there, with no thoughts, but it's not a bad feeling. The silence was.. loud, but I don't feel overwhelmed by it. This is actually really-
Suddenly Lightbulb got up and bolted towards the water.

"Lightbulb what are you doing?" I shouted at her as she ran closer to the water.
"You'll see!" She exclaimed leaving me a bit confused. I have no clue what's she doing but I trust her. She probably got a little bored of just sitting there knowing her.

Lightbulb came rushing back with a ton of rocks in her arms.
"Uhh why do you have rocks?" I questioned.
"Watch this Case!" She said as she throw one of the rocks very far into the water.
"Let's see who can throw the rocks the farthest!" She exclaimed giving me a rock to throw.
"I mean, it'll be a bit hard without arms, but I'll give it a shot!" I replied. I kicked the rock on the ground as hard as I could. Although it didn't go as far as Lightbulbs I was willing to keep doing it.

We continued to throw and kick the rocks into the water, seeing who could get them the farthest in the lake. Lightbulb was able to throw them farther then me, considering she has arms it was way easier for her. I noticed it was dark now, the sun had set. I was getting a little tired myself.

"Hey Lightbulb, it's getting pretty late, I think we should head to bed now." I suggested.
"Oh alright! I'll go round up the other two! Sleep is important after all!" Lightbulb said as she went dashing off to find the others. I watched as she got farther and farther from me.

I looked back down at the rock next to me.

What the-
It suddenly started to shape shift into something that looks like.. Nickel.
Oh Suitcase why would you do that to your al|i@nce member.. you voted on me. I thought we were an a|l¡anç3.. How could you betray me..

I suddenly got up away from the rock, breathing heavily. Not another one of those hallucinations.. They're just so.. scary.. and real! Am I really a bad alliance member? Am I not trustworthy? Is this how Balloon felt, like they weren't trusted, like they were left out? Well Nickel was a bitch anyway! He completely used me and!-

"Hey Case! I got the others- uhh you good?"
Lightbulb asked as she came from behind me.
"Oh uh, yeah, I'm fine! Let's just go back now."
I said as I got up and walked ahead of her back to our sleeping spot.
"Well ok then.. let's go!" She shouted as she ran to catch up with me.

We eventually made it back to our sleeping spot. It was nothing special, just a couple tents with sleeping bags. I assumed Knife was already in his since Lightbulb had said that she got everyone here. Baseball was sitting right outside of his. He seemed like he was lost in thought.

"Hey Baseball..!" I decided to say.
"Oh uh- hey Suitcase, what's up..!" He blurted out. It's not that we don't like each other, infact we are friends, but there's definitely some tension between us and we both know.
"Ah nothing much, I was just going to go to bed." I replied.
"Yeah, me too! Well goodnight then..!" He shouted as if he just wanted to be alone.
"Night.."
"Goodnight everyone!" Lightbulb exclaimed before getting into her tent.

I went inside my tent and laid down on my sleeping bag. I wish we all could have just gotten along. None of this would have happened if they would have just forgiven Balloon! I could tell they were trying to change.. I really could. Augh I shouldn't blame Nickel for this! Or should I.. I don't want to think about this any longer, I really need to sleep. I shut my eyes, trying my hardest not to think about everything. Eventually I drifted off to sleep.

A/N: YAYAYAY CHAPTER ONE !! hopefully I'll be able to write since school is starting tomorrow for me :(
