Gabby was trying to make some toast for breakfast when she heard the doorbell ring. It was Sunday morning and she was hoping to sit in and rest. It didn't matter that she'd been doing that all weekend, what mattered was that she wasn't expecting anyone this morning. She was supposed to meet up with Laila later in the afternoon and it was too early for her to be here. Besides, she expected that they'll meet each other in a café for some coffee. It could be Tan too. She hadn't seen him since the dinner on Friday where she felt like they were saying goodbye to their relationship.

For someone to disturb her blissful moment, it had to be very important she hoped. She dropped the bottle of jam she had in her hand and went to get the door. Maybe Tan finally came to have that important discussion he kept running away from. She could admit that the possibility of it being him caused a warm feeling to swirl in her chest that both excited and scared her. She knew she had fallen in love with Tan again and though it took a while for her to admit it to herself. It was her truth. First, she was afraid of being in love with him again, now what she feared most was that just like before their love wont 'conquer all' as she'd hoped. She had to believe that calling things off with him was the best direction she should turn to and that knowledge didn't please her in the least. She wished her love life wasn't so difficult.

"I'd freak if this weren't important." She muttered to herself as she looked into the door cam monitor. Dami and Yo-han Lee where standing in front of the door to her house. Well that was unexpected─ possibly important too. She couldn't think as to why Tan's parents would visit her. Unlocking the door, Gabby prepared herself for a leave our son or else spee

"Good morning, Mr. Lee, Mrs. Lee," she greeted sporting a beaming smile. They gave back a solemn nod in response. Compared to the pajamas she had on they were dressed in the way rich parents did when the were trying to intimidate their son's girlfriend; all suits and cooperate dresses. No such thing as casual for these guys. Gabby would bet the toast on the kitchen island that Mr. Lee doesn't know what jeans would feel like on his skin. Thinking about toast reminded her how hungry she was. This had better be good. She thought to herself.

"Please, come in," she waved them in, leading them into her living area. It was a bit untidy but that was their fault for showing up to her house unannounced and uninvited. She refuses to be embarrassed on their behalf. They both took seat on the couch while gabby sat on an armchair.

"This a surprise. How may I help you?"

"We came to see you," Dami Lee started, "we know it was unannounced." Gabby noticed that they made no move to apologize for their rudeness. She brushed it off. Gabby already knew they thought of her as beneath their son. This wasn't the first time they've come to stage an intervention over Tan's life. Granted she was richer now and more confident, it would be naïve of her to think that they will treat her any different than they already do.

"Would you like something to drink?" Gabby offered, "tea, coffee?"

"Don't go through the trouble," Yo-han spoke up. "we won't be staying for long."

"it appears you found your way back together with Tan," Dami paused dramatically staring Gabby down with an intimidating gaze. Gabby waited for her to continue maintaining an unfazed persona "Tan is my only son and as his parents, you must understand that we want only the best for him." The way she made it sound, it was like Tan didn't have a mind of his own. Did they think he'd fallen to the wiles of a seductress or something? Like Tan could be that stupid.

"of course," Gabby agreed with a nod.

"that's right." Gabby didn't miss the sneer in her tone as her eyes wandered over the pictures hung up on the wall of her apartment.
