Your P.O.V:
The distant screams echoing off of the land made a vicious shiver travel across my body, the tears that ran down my cheeks now dried the same as the blood that was pouring out of my cuts a couple of hours ago.
I don't know how all of us got in this situation but it's not what I expected, well nobody expects to meet a man who tries it on with you every 10 minutes and a chainsaw killing maniac for their first visit out of town.

This was supposed to be my new beginning, My Happily Ever After, but I guess life can't let you have anything good.
I wipe the sweat emitting from my forehead and face and focus on the sounds around me. The screaming had stopped finally. The screaming had stopped. I look around more anxiously than before, I had learnt from the previous horrors that if the screaming stopped they would move on to the next person, but that's it. I was going to be the last person, but I was fortunate enough to escape and run into the texan heat and towards a barn not to far away.

Well, I wasn't at the barn yet but that was my destination and I'd be damned if I was going to quit this far into my escape plan. I sigh in relief as the barn came closer into my view, I use my last remaining bit of energy to slightly walk faster to the barn. I go to open one of the doors but all I get it the clinking of the chain and padlock on the door.
I look down at the lock and try to atleast loosen it up a bit but my attempts went in vain, I did however, see a slightly ajar window which was ingraved in grime, dirt and dust.

It doesn't make too much to convince me because anything was better than being out in the open for another minute more. Dragging my feet over the rough terrain, I hoist myself up on the crate and pull myself through the window. Landing on my back once in the barn, I start coughing as the dust starts to dance in the air.
I look around my surrounding and I see a ladder to a higher ledge full of haybales and troughs. Taking the opportunity I start to ascend the ladder, as I'm on the last step I hear footsteps on the ground outside.

As I hide within some of the scattered hay, the lock is undone and the door swings open and there stands the big burly dude that hunted all of us down one by one. Even though he didnt brandish his weapon of choice, I still kept hidden as that man looks like he could crush my skull with his hands without breaking a sweat.
I try not to move but it became even harder to do so when he started to climb the ladder and started to throw hay down below us.

He looks around and spots something in my direction. I suck in a breath as he nears my location only for him to pick up a trough and throw it down to the floor below. He takes another step forward and his boot comes close to my face, he was about to take another step until a voice can be heard outside, "TOMMY HURRY UP AND GET OUT HERE, WE DON'T HAVE ALL DAY!I GOTTA PICK UP MOMMA!"
He grumbles and steps back down the ladder and ,I presume, pick up everything he dropped and headed out of the barn.

I don't move until I hear a car start up and drive further away until I couldn't hear the engine anymore, I stick my head out of the pile of hay just to make sure nobody was still in the barn and being sneaky.
I get up from my former hiding space and pat myself down to get rid of any hay stuck on my clothing.

Making my way down the ladder trip on the last 3 steps and fall backwards creating a 'thud' sound. I groan as the wind was knocked out of me for a moment and slowly rise to me feet, and quickly look around scared somebody could've heard.
I laugh slightly and walk out of the Barn doors with my head held high but still scanning for any threat. None. I sigh in relief until I hear thuds behind me and I turn to the large man I saw earlier right behind me breathing heavily. His curly hair covering that mask and his eyes shone a crazed glint in them, his chest heaving making him looked enraged and feral.
