chapter 1 the Adventure begins

I Archie POV

It was like any other day I was walking to the bus stop from college after a long day I mostly walk there alone, I walk there myself since I don't have a car I hear my phone ring when I pick it up it's my brother calling me I answer and put the phone next to my ear

Archie:Hey Lance, what's up?

Lance:Yo bro what's up? How were college and the lectures?

Archie:They were fine I didn't think they were that bad, just boring.

I Sigh being bored from all the lectures I mostly already know reading from books and novels since I don't usually do anything else

Lance:You're still coming home? Right?

I find myself surprised because I felt the tone was different from Lance's, he's usually a calm and cool cousin of mine

Archie:Of course, why wouldn't I come home?

Lance:Because I know you've been ignoring the same question aunt Lizz always asks you, I know some things off.

I sigh again knowing that Lance has always been the one person who could always understand me, I know he helps me out a lot and I don't blame him, but I don't wanna burden him with all the things I'm going through

Lance:Archie? Please tell me what's going on.

Archie:Look I know you mean well but, I've just been in to... Places look what if we get pizza, I can get you your favourites and have a movie night?

I wait for my answer as I know Lance mostly enjoys it Lance thinks for a bit as he sought

Lance:Alright fine but with calamari got it.

I laugh knowing him too well as it always works out and I'm glad he's doing alright, as we say our goodbyes, I hang up the phone and am on my way as I make it to the bus stop as I see someone they're as well looking the same age as I am somewhere in early 20 having a black hoodie with a green stripe, and black pants and Nike shoes as I sit down and wait for a bit as the person is sighing being bored as he is and I couldn't stand it for a bit and look at him with a face "Really bruh"

A guy:Sorry I didn't know I was making someone grouchy.

Archie:It's fine I don't mind, say, how long have you been waiting here for the bus?

A guy:Not long I've been here for about 20 minutes, I was supposed to be on the north Carolina bus.

I look surprised as he's been waiting for so long now and kinda feel bad for the person I then try to make a conversation with him

Archie:If it makes you feel any better I once had to wait for a bus for an hour because I had made it here for an about half hour now.

A guy:No way? Shit that must have been pretty boring and quite forever to make it on that bus.

As the guy and I laugh for a bit knowing it was quite funny for him as we started to get along pretty well

Shane:I'm Shane by the way but my friends call me Archer.

Archie:I'm Archie stonberg.

Archer:Huh Archie huh? Like that Riverdale series?

I nod as I was named after a character from an 80s show when my parents had picked that name for me when I was about 3 months old since they were having a hard time choosing a name

Archie:So Archer? Why were you headed to North Carolina?

I waited for him to respond he seemed not to want to answer the question since I could see him trembling a bit and was kinda lil concerned I knew I made a wrong question
