The journey to the station was difficult to say the least. A 2km trek in -24°C weather where looters could have killed you for your coat at any moment, but you made it. The giant Wilford W over the doors into the station was like seeing a gateway to heaven.
Check in and being chipped took no longer than an hour and since departure was in a few hours you and some others were soon whisked away on a shuttle to the 3rd class boarding platform.
Boarding took longer than expected. the lines infront of you were at least 50 people long and showed no signs of speeding up. Without warning a siren blared and a monotone voice announced:
"Attention all security forces. looters have breached the last section gates. please reinforce that area immediately. All ticketed passengers please board immediately, Snowpiecer departs in 15 minutes."
The masses of people around and behind you starting pushing forward and before long passengers were pushing one another out of line to be checked in first. Children could be heard screaming, parents crying and barging forward to get their families on board.
Panicked now and with only 10 minutes to go, you pushed forward. soon enough you had made it aboard the train. The warm air simultaneously hit you like a fighter jet and welcomed you with open arms. An announcement followed shortly after you boarded and made your way to your cabin:
"Attention all ticketed passengers please board! Snowpiercer departs at zero hours.
An emergency situation has been declared. Emergency lockdown is now in effect in cars 1- 800.
Snowpiercer departs in...
