Today was the day.
The day you had been looking forward to for months now.
Ever since he proposed to you, it was a race to the wedding. The day that you two would finally face the world hand-in-hand as a wedded couple.
As the date neared, you could sense a little bit of anxiety coming from your partner. You couldn't tell what was wrong until the night before, when he finally confessed all of his feelings over the past month.
"I'm just afraid you will leave before tomorrow," he sighed, planting his forehead against yours.
"Ayato," you said gently in response. "I would never," you moved his head to lay it against your chest, letting him listen to your heartbeat. You ran your hand through his hair, gently lulling him to sleep. "You mean too much to me, after all."
Ayato felt so much better hearing those words from you. You'd never really expressed your feelings as he did, the night of the proposal. Despite how you had felt, you could never find the right words to express what you felt. You thought your actions said it all. After all, don't actions speak louder than words?
Well, anyway. That was all behind the two of you now as you walked down the aisle, hand-in-hand with your lover. He had expressed his desire to enter with you, wanting the first look to be in private, away from any prying eyes. It was a moment you two shared, now. The glowing flowers of Chinju Forest illuminated your clothes, the blue tinting it ever so slightly.
You remember crying in his arms, overwhelmed by everything, overjoyed by the fact that you two were about to be wed, the coos of the person you trusted the most calming your nerves. His sweet words whispered only ever to you, the way his hands held you so gently.
"Please don't cry," he begged, tilting your head up and tapping your forehead with his. "You are far too pretty today to be tainted with those tears."
As he consoled you, brushing away your tears, the guests waited ever so patiently until the music began, signaling your arrival.
Everything seemed to be tinted in rose, the memories now fond to you both.
The walk down the aisle together, the sound of gentle music playing as you both began to take steps into your life together. The sake you shared after your purification.
"Ayato?" you asked that night, staring at him as his face reflected the moonlight.
"Yes, dear?" he responded quickly, always attentive to your needs.
"Thank you so much," you said.
Of course, the first dance. Who could forget?
Right after the ceremony, you and Ayato danced under the moonlight, him guiding you to simple turns and rotations. You had been practicing together for months now, eager to perform the seemingly complex dance in front of all of Inazuma.
Ayato had his head right above yours, singing to you quietly the song he had come up just for you.
"I would never fall in love again until I found her. I was lost within the darkness but then I found her," he began to sing, gently guiding you along the forest floor.
"I found you," you finished, beaming up at him. He smiled back and gently kissed you.
"Of course, dear," Ayato replied, bringing you back to reality. "It pleased me so to see you like this today. It is a shame I will never see you so beautifully dressed again."
"Oh, you don't really mean that, do you?" you pouted.
"Dear, what occasion would you have to dress up for like that again?" He copied your pout. "You aren't intending to run off and get married again, are you?"
"Of course not!" you quickly defended yourself. "Ayato, you were meant for me, I would never leave you."
"Well, I certainly never mentioned you leaving, now did I?"
You smiled softly, your eyes closing and your head tilting down a little as you chuckled to yourself.
"You're quite possessive, sir."
"Only for you, my dear," he moved forward, cupping your cheek gently and placed a kiss to your lips, pushing you down to the bed.
"I love you," you whispered to him.
"I love you more, my dear."

quite short, i know. it was another spur of the moment pov and i figured short and sweet was a good way to go :)
I wish I could've been more descriptive :0
also I did just briefly look up japanese wedding customs since inazuma is based off of japan so thats where the sake and purification come in (from what i found, typically sake is shared 3 times between the families right after a purification of evil spirits).
The website states "Instead of vows, the bride and groom drink sake, three times each from three different cups called sakazuki. Next, their parents take sips, which represents sealing the bond between the two families. Each person takes three sips of each of the cups - with all of the sups having a unique meaning. The first three represent the three couples, the second three sips represent hatred, passion, and ignorance and the last three sips represent freedom from those three flaws. The term "san san ku do" means three, three and nine and the "do" is the part that means the deliverance from the flaws. Nine is a lucky number in Japanese culture."
so :) yay
hope you enjoy. i did have a lineup of povs but this is inserted in between because this playlist gave me a spur moment idea hehe.
I'm working on the others. I'm sorry its so slow :(
I didn't want to burn myself out too quickly since I do really enjoy writing
