"Fuck-" You get up from the bed and run to the bathroom. This is your every morning now. Hopefully it'll end when your first trimester ends. In four weeks.

A week after your ultrasound, Satoru calls daily to check up on how you're doing. It's so clear how excited he is... Or at least worried about everything. You hope he shares the same feelings as you.

You're mainly worried about how your life will turn out, how you'll be able to balance everything. Working, studying, and being a mother. But you're also so excited. You've always wanted to be a mother. And although it isn't the best time of your life to have a baby, you're still excited.

Although that excitement doesn't display in the mornings after you puke your guts out. You're reasonably groggy, walking to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. You always swear you'll buy some medicine for the morning sickness, but you always forget. Each morning you're reminded and punished.

There's a knock on your door, and you look at the time. It's so early in the morning so you wonder who it is, showing up with no prior notice. You doubt it's Satoru because you're sure he'll call beforehand, plus you're meeting later today.

You open the door, raising your eyebrows as you look at Kaya. She holds a teddy bear, a big smile on her face as she waves the plush's arm. "A little gift for my niece or nephew."

"Kaya..." You say, sadly not too excited. You've been keeping in touch with her, but you hadn't seen each other since she told your secret. Although you aren't exactly mad at her since you're now keeping your baby, you can't help but feel a bit betrayed. "Come in."

"How have you been doing?" She asks as she enters the apartment. She goes to the couch and puts the teddy bear on the coffee table. You close the door and walk to the living room to sit down beside Kaya.

"I've been doing... Good." You answer. You have some time off before the next semester, but you can't say you're doing so well when each morning you puke your guts out and anything that smells too strong makes you run to the bathroom.

"You're eight weeks along, right?" She asks and you nod in response. "So you'll be having a cancer baby."

"A what?" Your eyes widen. She realizes how wrong that sounds, and is quick to apologize.

"Sorry. Like the zodiac sign." She clarifies. "Have you done some shopping? What are your plans for the day? Maybe we can go out shopping."

"I haven't really gone out shopping. But today I'm going out with Satoru to look at places to move." You share, and her eyes widen, sparkling knowing the questions she has to ask next. She's been wondering, but asking over text isn't the most appropriate thing.

"How is he? What is he going to do? You never told me any details." She begins, and you sigh. You stand up and walk to the kitchen to look for something to eat.

"He's fine." You keep the answer vague. You don't want to share any details. You're not in the greatest mood for talking either. "How's Daisuke?"

"He's... I'm not sure." She says. She stands up and walks over to the kitchen to be closer to you.

"Why? You two are usually all over each other." You tell her, and a sigh escapes her lips. She bites the inside of her cheek, debating about telling you. She decides it's not worth it, it'll be resolved eventually she just has to give it some time.

"How has morning sickness been treating you?" She changes the topic. "Have you bought something to treat it?"

"Not yet. I always forget." You answer.

"I can buy some for you." She offers, but you shake your head.

"It's fine, I'll ask Satoru later to stop at a pharmacy."
