At 39, Jamie Parker life was going right. He was the best in the DJA (Detective Justice Agency), and was a handsome intelligent man. Nothing could go wrong at his moment in career except loneliness he often felt. But he didn't let that stop him from doing his job, with his sharp green eyes and cute smirk, it was all about the business, not himself.
"Do you copy me?" Jamie said through the walkie-talky as he was in the white van outside the house, where his parker Agent Jones was just inside the big building, about to make the deal trade the company has ever made; colliding agencies. Agent Jones was Jamie's only friend. His only real friend in this whole agency, or his whole life. Jones is a 25 year old, he is handsome in a dorky way
"Yes yes I do copy you." the annoyed voice answered as Agent Jones fixed his tie as he slowly knocked on the door to be welcomed in the house. He was quickly greeted and sent in. Jamie set all the computers to hear the audio, and see everything on Agent Jones (aka Matthew)'s tie.
"I would like to discuss the deal, I know you already went through the details with my employer so we are here to make this deal sweet, all you have to do is sign here." Jones said with a clear smile.
The older fat man, who was not allowed to be identified sighed as he took his pen and slowly began to sign his name on the line. He began to chuckle and smirk at Jones, and slowly look at the tie. "Your employer told me, there would be no video, no audio, just me and you." he said as he poked at Jones's skinny chest.
"There is no recordings or anything sir" Jones said with a gulp.
"Don't lie to me" the old man replied as he ripped the tie off.
"Shit" Jamie said chewing on his lip as he whispered in to Jamie's headset "Leave, NOW"
Matthew quickly got up, as bullets were coming towards him. He ran, a shot in the shoulder, but kept going.
Jamie had the door of the van open, throwing Matthew in as they drove quickly away.
"Shit Matthew you're shot." Jamie said as he quickly took Matthew's jacket off, as there was only a little blood, he grew a smirk. "You stole my bulletproof undershirt you bastard" Jamie said, more relieved that his friend didn't get hurt.
Matthew smirked, but the smirks died as soon as the driver, who was not an agent, stopped the car due to a call from their boss; Mr. Beckham.
Jamie never failed a mission, never had a mistake, this business didn't have room for mistakes, but one of the most fatal mistakes just happened. Jamie gulped as he went to answer.
"Hey Boss." Jamie said biting his lip as he knew that Mr. Beckham already knew what was up.
"I give you, the most simplest mission, to get damn papers signed, and I fucking told you to not use any recordings, and you fuck it up." He said with an angry tone.
"Boss I had a bad feeling about it I couldn't risk Matthew like that and the compan-" he said getting cut off with yelling.
"Oh like hell, you'll have a bad feeling when I send your ass down to my office, NOW" he said as he hung up, and the driver calmly continued to drive.
"Shit" Jamie said as he looked at Matthew.
Jamie walked into Mr. Beckham's office with a straight face, Jamie was arrogant, and tough. He could handle all that came to him. In his mind he thought "What's the worst that can happen?"
"Sit down." Mr. Beckham said sternly.
Jamie sat down as he raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms looking at him.
"I already yelled at you for what you did, and I don't want your douchey comments you prick."
"So what will you possible do with me?" Jamie said with a smirk.
"You are getting an apprentice." Mr. Beckham said growing a smirk while Jamie's died.
"You're fucking kidding." Jamie snarled.
"Nope Agent Parker I'm not, she will be here tomorrow, good luck."
Jamie slammed the door walking out as Matthew was on the outside waiting
"I can tell it didn't go well."
"Yeah I am getting a fucking apprentice" Jamie said as he began walking out of the building
"And it's a girl." He finished
When Matthew was 21 he joined, and Jamie was his mentor, but it was different, they had a bond that grew after Matthew almost sacrificed himself for Jamie in training, but Matthew didn't just become another agent, he became partners with the best agent in the business.
Jamie woke up never so unsure, he walked up to the mirror to examine himself, he had a handsome face, and tall. Being older took away the abs and left him with a with the gross belly. He got into his daily suit for work as he had no joy for the day to come.
He walked into the office as all the guys were surrounding in a circle. He raised an eyebrow as he put his work down on his desk and slowly walked over to the circle, seeing Matthew and tapping his shoulder. "What the hell is going on?" he said as he stopped when he saw the girl.
Big beautiful brown eyes, thick, long curly, hair, with perfectly shaped lips and a petite model figure. He snapped out of all the other guys as he saw her cheeks red from all the attention.
"Knock it out dipshits." Jamie said as the agents slowly snapped out of it.
"Get back to work." He said with a louder, more effective tone as they did, still staring at the girl from where ever they worked.
Jamie walked up to the young lady as she sighed "Thank you" She said as her hands were full of work, and a coffee.
"Of course" Jamie said as he raised an eyebrow. "So what brings you here?" He said as he crossed his arms around his chest and looked at her innocent but beautiful face.
" I am Jess Carter, um I'm looking for Agent Parker; I'm his apprentice."
