As soon as Kageyama entered the castle, he was confronted by one of Kiyoko's daughters. "My mother would like to speak to you-- she said, soon, please.." Yachi said as she bowed, turning after he nodded. "As soon as is convenient for you." With that, the blonde departed.
I wonder what that was about, he thought as he made his way to Lady Kiyoko's room, knocking on the door.
"Come in, Prince, and take a seat. We need to have a little talk."
At this, he froze up immediately. What had he done?
"You're not in any trouble," she murmured, her tone reassuring enough for him to do as he was directed. Kiyoko smiled at him. "How are you doing today?"
"I'm really good, how about you?"
"I'm wonderful, thank you. You are much more polite than the kingdom makes you out to be, Prince Tobio. I do adore you for that. It's been so long since we last spoke. I hope you've been doing well."
"I have, actually, thank you. Why--"
"Say, Prince, are you still not interested in anyone?"
"....oh."
The witch smiled wider. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, I just couldn't pinpoint the details myself. I'd like to know, though. I know it isn't your arranged wife, as I heard you two are faking."
"L-lady Kiyoko, I-"
"What's his name?"
"Tooru Oikawa."
"Ohh, that makes a lot make sense. Good luck with him."
"Thank you."
She stood up, hugging him. "And make sure to tell him how you feel at the right time."
"Well, yeah-- but wh--"
"You'll know."
"He's out of my league."
"You'll know."
"But, Lady Kiyoko--"
"Don't worry."
Yachi appeared out of thin air, it seemed, Kiyoko greeting her with a smile.
"I'll see you later, Prince Tobio," Kiyoko murmured, he simply walking out, still awestruck.
"KAGEYAMA!" came the yell,Hinata running up to the other as he walked out of Kiyoko's room "Did you go there to get her to curse me!?" His face showed honest fear, remembering what Kageyama told him earlier.
"No, she asked me there. She knows."
"Oh. Is she gonna tell our dads?"
"I don't think."
"Pray to Divinity that she doesn't. They would have your ass."
"That they would. They might need it, honestly. Divinity was not generous when distributing the ass to their generation," he murmured, snickering.
His brother let out a small chuckle. "So what did she say about it?"
"She wished me luck and said to make sure I tell him at the right time. I dunno, she's confusing sometimes."
"Oh so she gave you advice then. I thought she would yell at you."
"Nope. Yachi seemed kinda upset. You should talk to her-- she's your best friend."
"Hmmm, I wonder what's wrong. Was she in her mothers room?" Shouyou asked, already turning around to go back.
"Yeah, but she looked ready to head out honestly."
