Chapter 3

"I am very sorry Viv!" My beautiful brunette friend kept apologizing but I wasn't mad at all. She was looking absolutely stunning with that navy blue dress. It reached till her knees and her arburn hair was falling down freely till her waist. She slipped two black heels on and quickly used some lipgloss to decorate her lips.

She took a purple gucci bag and put her rosary and phone in it. She put some money to her bag but didn't take the wallet. That purple amulet and the enchantlet was still with her. She removed her black earrings while apologizing and putting on two golden ring earrings instead.

"It's absolutely fine. We can catch up later.I will most definitely be here when you return from Welshire" I told her with a smile. She hugged me.

"Thanks babe. I love you" Then she disappeared. She is still very fast. Angela, Hugo's sister, my class mate at PAA had called Sofia and asked her to come over. She's writing compositions for our next play and she needed Sofia's opinion on it because students of ERA are invited to watch it.

That's definitely not the only reason. After all Angela loves to see Hugo and Sofia's awkward yet cute interactions. She always describes them to me at school. It's a usual topic and it is very fun to talk about too.

I looked over Sofia's room. It has changed. There was a portrait of The Holy Trinity above her bed and right under that portrait there was a portrait of The Holy Family. Beside those portraits there were two few picture frames of Guardian Angel and St. Ana.

As I moved my gaze to her bed sheets slowly I saw a cute bunny sleeping on the soft sheets. His name was Clover...? I think? I patted his head slowly and he moved comfortably in his sleep. I giggled and that's when someone unexpectedly barged into Sofia's room.

"Sofia I- um hello?" The golden blonde haired boy glanced at me with a puzzled look. He can't recognize me. It's been about a year after all. We never crossed paths, not even in balls.

"Hello James, It's Vivian" I told him with a smile as I straightened myself. I could finally take a full glance of his appearance. Because of my position I couldn't see clearly earlier.

James was wearing a light green T shirt with sleeves reaching till his wrist and black ripped jeans that were folded till his knees. His blonde hair was quite messy. And I have to admit he was looking really handsome. Very handsome with those twinkling amber eyes.

"Do you like what you see Viv?" He asked after noticing my gaze on him. I quickly looked down with my cheeks heating up. But from the corner of my eyes I could see James' smirking.

"It's been awhile since I last saw you though" He started a conversation after a good few minutes of silence and my cheeks turning scarlet. He probably enjoyed seeing my this state.

"Y-yeah" I replied to him, still not daring to meet his eyes. I took a quick glance at him and saw him licking his lips. Wait what?

I took another glance at him and saw him doing nothing. I must be seeing things. He has a girlfriend and-

He has a girlfriend. That thought crossed my heart. I felt very disappointed as that hit me. But why?

"Do you know where Sofia is?" James' voice rang through my ears and that voice made me shiver. I felt something weird on my stomach as my heart beat started to increase.

"Y-yeah, s-she went to W-welshire to meet A-angela" I let out still stuttering. I hope he understood what I meant. I am not myself sure why am I stuttering or shivering right now?

"Oh" He simply said ignoring my stutters. I am really grateful to God for that.

"Um so what brings you here?"

"I-I came with F-fredrick, H-he and A-amber has a p-project"

"Oh so what are you doing? Did you have any plans?"

"J-just to hang out with S-sofia"

"Now that she's gone?"

"N-nothing"

"Why are you stuttering? I won't kill you and we are friends too right?"

"Y-yeah"

"Then why- oh shit! Did I make you uncomfortable?"

"W-what? N-no. I-it's just my h-heart is beating so h-hard right n-now"

"Um you know what? Let's catch up. Follow me Viv" The way he called my by my nickname gave made my heart flatter and I felt a smile creeping to my lips.

What am I doing? this is wrong!

But I want to hangout with him. He is a friend, what's wrong with that?

But my intention is only to be close with him. Not to catch up. I don't know why I feel like I got connected with him by just seeing him.

Maybe it's an infatuation, which will fade away. What I didn't realize was that my stupid legs were following him upstairs. My brain is not working and I don't know what to do anymore. I don't know what to feel anymore.

Soon I noticed that we were in a balcony. I noticed a room behind me with dark grey walls.

"This is a guest room. Well sorta. We have sleepovers and we do many more things here" James answered my question that I didn't even ask.

"Hm"

"Have some water Viv. Calm down" I gulped the water he gave me in one swallow. I was very nervous to stand this close to him. He is doing this in a friendliar way but something is wrong with me.

He chuckled deeply and asked me to take a seat with him in the balcony. I did. But I am still shivering.

"Looks like water won't help you my dear princess" I shot him a look of panic but he didn't see. I have to realize he is being friendly and only friendly.
