Comfort (Krus and Ruv)

AU: Marriage AU (by Handzy) + Insomniac Ruv AU + Ruv has hyperacusis AU

Synopsis: Krus comforts Ruv during a thunder storm at midnight.

Ruv and his dad were currently lying on a bed together at 12 midnight. After his parents were resurrected from the dead, they decided that he should sleep with one of his parents for 2 weeks. During the first week, which had already passed, Ruv would sleep with his mom and Sarv would sleep with his dad and during the second week, which was right now, Ruv will sleep with his dad and Sarv will sleep with his mom.

His dad was asleep while he, on the other hand, was still awake due to having chronic insomnia and, ironically, hyperacusis, both of which were undiagnosed. It was raining and there was thunder, which made things even worse for him.

As much as he didn't want to wake his dad, he needed a hug and there's no way he'd make it to Sarv without suffering a sensory overload. So, he turned to his dad and tapped his shoulder. "Папа? (Dad?)" Krus turned to him.

"Yes, сын (son)?" Krus asked. Judging by how he sounded, he just woke up.

"Can I have a hug?" Ruv asked.

"Of course." Krus said. Ruv went over to his father and wrapped his arms around him. The hug was returned.

BOOM!

Ruv flinched and tightened his grip a bit. "Are you afraid of thunder?" Krus asked.

"It's too loud for me." Ruv said. "Maybe not for you, but for me, it's another story. Sounds that aren't that loud, like thunder, are too loud for me and loud sounds are painful for me to hear and I have no idea why. I can't sing without having to fight through a sensory overload."

"Does Sarv know about this?" Krus asked.

"She does." Ruv said.

"Does she have anything to help you with your issue?" Krus asked.

"She keeps earplugs in the third drawer of the nightstand." Ruv said. Krus reached over to the nightstand, opened the third drawer, and took out white, foam earplugs and gave it to Ruv, who put it in his ears before laying back down and hugging his dad again. Krus smiled and hugged his son back.

The next day, Sarv had gone to the room to wake up Ruv and Krus and was greeted with the sight of them hugging each other in their sleep. Sarv awwed and took a picture of the sight on her phone before going back to the dining room, where her mother-in-law could be seen sitting and eating some bacon and eggs.

"Where's Ruvvy and Krusy?" Rsch asked.

"Sleeping." Sarv said. "I don't want to wake them up right now."

"Why?" Rsch asked. Sarv showed the blue-haired criminal the picture, which made the latter smile. "Cute."

"I know right?"
