Ch. 4- What do I do?

I looked around the room in confusion. It had been fully furnished and rearranged since in remember. Rob went back home to Montreal a few days ago leaving Jerome to be on his lonesome. I could feel my ears beginning to cramp but I could not just leave for a minute and come back with him being not being suspicious.

I reached up to scratch my head and scratched the one place that was cramping but nothing was helping. The cramps were getting worse and I could feel them twitching.

I could not keep this from Jerome. It hurts me in more ways then one by keeping him on the down low. I have decided I will tell him.

"Jerome?" I turn to him as he pulls his head out of the fridge.

"Hmmm?" He speaks through a bottle of water he has hanging from him mouth.

"I don't want to keep secrets from you Biggums so i want to show you something... However... I don't want you to hate me because of how it has changed me." I say pulling my tail out of my shirt but not letting him see.

"Dood I would never hate you. No matter how you change." He said removing the water bottle and backing out of the fridge door's way. He shut it with his foot and placed down his food and water bottle.

"Thank you so much Biggums... You're the best, just so you know." I say while letting my tail loose and allowing my ears to stand up straight. His eyes widened as he took a bite of cold macaroni, standing in front of the microwave.

"NEKO-BAJAN!" He yelled and put down the food quickly before tackling me. He held me and began to mess with my ears. I was taller then him now and so he looked up at me with wide, childish eyes.

"Yes, yes. Neko-Bajan?" I say in a questioning voice. He laughs and pushes me away. My ears go back and my tail begins to flick back and forth. He looks back at me and smiles kindly. My eyes begin to sting as I realize how much I missed my Biggums. My heart clenched at the thought of not seeing him again. My palms got clammy every time he would get near me.

Am I falling in love with my best friend?

I shook my head and a blush spread across my face. Would he accept that too? I have to tell him.

"I... uh... I have one... more thing." I spoke in an uneasy voice.

"Tell away dood." He said pulling his macaroni out of the microwave.

"I think I am in... love with you Jerome."
