My naïve self always taught love was like all those teen romances. Books, movies, everywhere there was this cute girl and this handsome guy that made the perfect couple. At the end of the story, they kiss and look at each other with sparkles in their eyes and butterflies in their stomachs. Later on, we learned that they had kids and a big house. The perfect life, am I right?
Well, this is bullshit.
In real life, it's not like that. In real life, people die and we can do nothing about it. In real life, we cannot always have what we want. I wanted this girl. For eternity and after. I wanted her love, her attention, her lips on mine. I wanted everything that had to do with this person. Even without being a religious person, I would've pray God to keep her.
Even when you want to reach for the stars, sometimes you must abstain from just looking at them.
