Enya sat across from me at the dinner table while Drew sat next to me. The sun was setting as we sat outside and ate and laughed and drank together. I haven't been this happy in a long time. I tell them this.
"Honestly me too, I feel like I've know you forever" Drew smiles I can't help but blush, "You guys are so chill, I'm usually introverted but I'm so comfortable with you guys" I look up and see Enya is smirking at me and her eyes are flickering in the candlelight. We both look down and continue eating but I can't avoid making eye contact with her throughout the night. There's just something about her.
Drew stands up and says "I gotta piss, I'll be right back" For a moment it's awkward and silent. "You look really pretty" I blurt out "Aw thanks, you too" —- Silence again "Do you wanna stay over tonight?" I dart my eyes up from my plate, "Oh um.. are you sure? I don't wanna take up any space" "It's okay my bed is huge" Just as she says this, Drew appears and sits back down next to me and we go silent again.
Drew doesn't question anything when Enya doesn't drop me off to my place and the three of us go back to their apartment. It's pretty late by now and we're all clearly exhausted. Drew says goodnight to us and goes straight to his room once we get in the door.
"I have some pyjamas for you to borrow and feel free to shower if you want" she escorts me to the bathroom and shows me how to control the water pressure. She walks out for a moment and comes back to leave fresh pyjamas by the bathtub. Just as she's walking out I touch her upper arm, "Thank you Enya, I really appreciate it" She smiles without saying anything and closes the door behind her.
Once I'm showered and have my pyjamas on I lightly knock of Enya's bedroom door and when I don't hear a reply I pop my head in. She's asleep. In this moment all I wanna do is cuddle up beside her and kiss her and hold her for eternity. She looks so peaceful, her cat is curled up at her feet and her face is sunken into her white cotton pillow. I tiptoe over the the bed and quietly get under the covers. I turn on my side and watch her for a moment and then turn on my back and fall asleep.
