Cody x Reader (Medics)

"MEDIC!" a yell came from the very active battlefield. You sprinted as fast as you could to the injured man, your heart stopping when you realized who it was

Cody

"I'm here, go help your brothers," you told the shiny. Reaching to your bag you got the painkiller shot, and injected him in the arm with it. He groaned, and you felt immediate pity for him,
"Don't worry Cody, I'm going to help you, but we just need to get out of here." You said while Cody grunted with displeasure,
"Yeah I know you want to help your brothers and such, but, I have to get you off here so you won't DIE. That wouldn't be very helpful, would it?" You threw one of his arms around your shoulder and got him to the makeshift med base.
"Hey will you help the commander, he is not badly wounded but he still needs some patching up, I'm going to go back for the others." The standby medics nodded and gently laid Cody on a stretcher. You ran back into the field to get more soldiers.

"How is he?" You asked the doctor, as soon as the battle was over.
"Fine, he just needs about 2 weeks of recovery. Then he will make a full recovery."
"Can I see him?" You asked politely, while the doctor nodded opening one of the curtains. You walked in slowly kneeling down to examine him. He was sleeping, as you expected, but he was still pretty enough to make you have butterflies. Grasping his hand gently, you squeezed it, feeling him weakly squeeze back.

You spent the next week with him, making sure he was comfortable, and healing correctly. Every day you spent at least 3 hours with him, talking, keeping his bandages fresh, stopping his boredom from killing him.
"Are you excited to get out of here?
"Absolutely, but there is one thing I will miss dearly..."
"And what would that be my dear sir?" You asked playfully.
"You." He replied bluntly, with a slight smirk.
"Uh-wha-bu-huh?" You said.
"You heard what I said."
"I don't think I did." You said trying to contemplate what he had just said, while your heart immediately started dreaming.
"Don't worry y/n, let me just show you what I mean," he said, pulling you down so your lips met with his. It was a sweet but long kiss that was lovely for both of you.

"Am I interrupting something?" A slightly amused voice sounded from above. Both of you pulled away with wide eyes, seeing that it was Kenobi.
"A-uh- no you are fine sir." You said brushing your shirt off and trying to stop your face from Turing into a tomato.
"I'll come back later." He said smiling and walking away.
"Well, that was interesting." Cody said as a bright pink blush settled across his face.
