Ravonna Clifford, a straight A student of a lot of subjects and you cannot finish counting all of them, is in pain. But she can't be blamed for it, can she? It's high school, everyone is either stoned, or in pain. And her mind's pretty much fixed on her knight in shining armour; Alvi. She believes he's the reason she's saved, when there was no one around to fix her, he tried. And well, he succeeded too. But never did she imagine, she'll fall for him.
[At lunch time...]
Sat at one of the tables, Taron waited for both Alvi and Ravonna. Exclusively for Ravonna. Seeing both of them come to him, he felt a tiny bit of unusualness and more joy. He stood up for his long desired crush because apparently you have to. He felt on top of the world. But he questioned himself if she was even good for him.
Ravonna waved at him and uttered awkwardly, "Looks like Cadence's heart's back in its place." Immediately feeling that-was-too-much, she added, "How- how are you?".
Taron chuckled and replied, "I am not the heart of Cadence. You guys are. I'm alright." Seeing Ravonna nod after his reply and remain silent, he felt awkward pretty soon too.
"You guys wanna sit down? Or do you have special skills in digesting food while standing up?" Alvi observing the silence, asked both to sit down.
"Haha, so funny Alvi." replied Ravonna sarcastically. Eventually seeing them both calm, they started talking like past times. Before Taron's mom, before all those things that made everything feel so numb, melancholic and boring. Well, not entirely. Taron grew up to be an introvert in the last four months. He only feels the need to talk unless he's asked something. Not his fault, because therapy is supposed to give you a feeling that there is enough hope if you believe in positivity, but... I guess, grief therapy does not work for Taron that way. There was this dissolving atmosphere where you could escape into. Taron's mind only escaped into that "realm of imagination" at lunch. He could only feel how it is for him. Painful, the kind which does not let you feel anything. And empty, the kind which does not let you speak. But he did not feel broken.
[School ends...]
Taron, Alvi and Ravonna all three agreed to hang out after school together at the coffee shop nearby. But Taron had to be home by 3, and his driver arrived and they had to say goodbye to him for the day. Alvi wanted to go along with him but he denied for no reason at all. I guess solitude finds its way to everyone somehow. And that's how it got to him.
Ravonna asked Alvi to hang out at the Garfield Gardens, a place only paved with a couple hundred pine trees and a lake. To talk about how things are going. And for a different reason also.
