All while Neo was regaling Eda of his and his ex's fun times before Luz was born, said cat girl was relaxing in her room.

"Hello, can you see me? Am I coming in clear?"

The girl smiling at her phone, which cleared to show a certain someone.

Amity Blight.

Luz: Yes Amity, you're clear, can you hear me?

She asked the greenette on the other end, who pulled the scroll to better see her, and smiled. It took some doing, but Neo managed to establish a clear enough connection to the other world on Luz's phone.

"Oh good, was worried for not coming in clear. So, h-how've you been?"

Luz: Good, my dad has gotten a lot of attention.

She said as Amity chuckled slightly.

"Sounds right, he's not exactly well hidden."

She said while rocking her head back and forth as Luz grinned at her and leaned back.

Luz: He doesn't try to be.

She said as she giggled more, Amity's heart warming when hearing her laugh.

"Ha... I miss you."

She said as Luz smiled back at her.

"It's not the same here without you."

Luz: I miss snuggling you.

She said with a smile as her tail swayed side to side in excitement as Amity blushed harder.

"T-thanks Luz... I-I miss snuggling you too..."

She said as she actually sat in the middle of a pile of stuffed toys, trying to replicate her cat girlfriend back on her.

"H-how're you back there?"

Luz: I get petted a lot.

She said, twitching her ears for emphasis as Amity giggled.

"You are fun to pet."

The witch said back as she smiled at her scroll.

"Just so long as you don't let them take advantage of you."

Luz: Aww Amity, are you jealous~?

She asked with a teasing tone in her voice as Amity flinched.

"W-what? N-no! I-I'm not jealous!!"

She defended herself as Luz only giggled when hearing that.

"J-just worried for you is all..."

Luz: Maybe you can give yourself ears and we can... groom each other~...

GLEAM~!!!!

The blush from the other end could overheat the girl's phone.

"G-g-groom..."

She knew exactly how cats groom themselves and the idea of getting it from Luz made her blush painfully bright.

"I-I-I-I... d-do you really w-want that?"

Luz: You'd get to see if I have a rough tongue~!

She teased further with a half lidded gaze as Amity sputtered further as Luz only giggled when seeing her.

Luz(thinking): So easy~!

She thought while wondering how her other friends were doing.

Luz: Yeah, well I'll see you later Amity.

"R-right, b-bye Luz, I love you."

The girl said as she waved the girl off while Luz soon ended the call.

Luz sighed and smiled.

Luz(thinking): Such a goofball~!

She didn't plan or expect to get a girlfriend while in the Boiling Isles, or that the girl would be one who has a rocky start with her. But after some more bonding and even becoming Grom queens, she was happy to have the girl in her life.

Luz(thinking): Though I wonder how the rest are.

She stretched.

C-c-c-crack~!!

P-POP~!!!

The girl's joints popping and cracking into place, auto-dialing the next friend of hers, and her first friend.

"Hello? Luz?"

Luz: Hey Willow~!

The cat girl said with a smile at the image of her fun, awesome plant girl friend, who was disappearing and reappearing on screen.

"Hey, been a while! You okay?"

She asked, Luz getting small glimpses of her hair tied back, wearing a work out top, and weights on her shoulders held up.

Luz: I'm good. Oooh, those arms, someone catch your eye?

She asked with a smile as Willow chuckled and shook her head.

"No no no, I'm just training. Gotta keep in shape you know!"

She said, continuing her squats as they talked.

"Besides, no one here really catches my eye. Well, least not here currently..."

Luz: Really?

She asked with a small head tilt, curious for who her friend could like, and saw the girl's cheeks pinker slightly.

"Y-yeah but it's nothing, r-really..."

She said, shaking her head at her friend as she lowered the weights.

"D-doubt they like me t-that way..."

Luz: Spill.

She said with a grin as Willow gulped nervously, taking a seat in front of the scroll.

"W-well... we met a while back, w-when I really needed some help and they were willing to do it for me, a-and we just grew close over time."

She admitted as she rubbed the back of her head shyly with a matching smile.

"B-but they were busy with something else, a-and probably found... someone else."

Luz: Wait, Willow... do you mean me?
