Chapter Nine: Holiday Vacation Part One

So we wrapped up Gulag and now we all can go home to see our families until January 5. Manager Ty told us that we still have to do a Tiktok every three days though. "At least you guys get a break from Sebastian when you go home," Oliver complains. "I go home and he's still there. 

"Well at least your boss doesn't follow you home," Kane interjects. Regie has already left for Michigan. Justin started his drive home because well he only lives four to five hours away. Kane and Ty's flight to Texas doesn't leave for another three hours. Darren is actually going to visit his girl best friend for a week before going home so he's in Sacramento right now. 

"Yo, Ryan, you ready?" Ryan's family is actually spending the Holidays with us in Florida this year. Oliver and I haven't been home since May. I can not wait to go home. I have missed Mateo so much! "Ryan, we got to go," I call up the stairs. There is no response. Oliver and I go up and knock on his and Justin's door. Still no response. So I open the door and just smile to myself. He just laying on his bed with his headphones on. His suitcase is already packed and ready. He was just waiting on us. 

{Florida}

"Mateo, we're home!" Oliver and I call out as soon we breach the door. He immediately runs into our arms. 

"Mateo Yorton!" Alex yells at our little brother from a different room. He sounds frustrated. I hug my little brother so tightly that he had to tell me to let go because he couldn't breathe. Alex comes around the corner but Mateo ran in the opposite direction away from his older brother. 

"Hey, what's going on?" Oliver asks. Nick is nowhere to be found. Alex sits down in the living room and explains what all has happened while we've been away. Mateo's been acting up everywhere. He's picking fights at school, cheating on tests, not doing homework, throwing fits out in public, and misbehaving at home. Nick just got sick of it and left Alex to raise our brother by himself about a month ago. Oliver and I could not figure out why Alex didn't tell us sooner. 

"You guys were busy with everything. I mean the whole reason that you guys are doing what you are doing is to honor Mom. How can I call you away from that?" I would've come anyway and I know Oliver would have too. 

{Texas}

Kane holds up his camera for the vlog. "Hey guys, so we just got off the plane. It's the start of the NSB holiday vacation and I am back in Texas with my older brother, Tyler," he shows the camera in the direction of Tyler. "Say hi." Tyler amuses his brother before going on a call. "We are trying to figure out our ride because our mom is supposed to be picking us up. We actually did not tell Princess when we were coming. She has a game today to go cheer for. I've never seen my sister cheer before so I'm really excited. We are going to go surprise her." Kane turns off the camera and asks Tyler if Mom was here yet. Tyler nods and leads the way to the car.

Kane sees his mom get out of their new car and he runs to embrace her. Angel and Junior are with her. "Where's Zeni?" I ask her. Zeni is with Princess getting her ready for her game. "What does she think you guys are doing?" Mom told Princess that they went out to run errands. Kane crawls into the vehicle and stops at the sight of a bed in the backseat. "What is this? Where was this when I was a kid? Ma?" Junior crawls in with his big brother and gets back on his iPad. "Junior, what are you playing?" Angel tells her older brother that the game is Castlerush and that he's been playing it all day. 

They all walk across a park to get to Princess' school. Tyler and Kane don't even get half way through the park before we are spotted by our little sister. She runs to Kane in tears because she is so happy. He loves Princess. They are super close. He picks her up in a hug. She can't even form a sentence because of her cries. Zeni is behind her. "Laura, you'll ruin your makeup. Mom, this is exactly why I suggested to wait until afterward," Zeni complained. 

"Missed you too, Sis," Tyler hugs Zen. Tyler and Kane were not planning on having her spot them until later but whatever. Kane softly talks to his sister who is still in his arms. She eventually stops crying so that they can all go support her and her team. 

{California}

Justin climbs into his car. He turns on his vlog camera. "Hey guys, you might be wondering where I am and where the boys are at. Well, we are all at home so that we can spend the holidays with our families. So I am here in California. I am going Christmas shopping but first I am going to go pick up my friend Duncan. He is going with me along with his sister Lily." He backs out of the driveway and heads towards Duncan and Lily's house which is not that far from Justin's place. JP got an idea to surprise the boys and send them all Christmas gifts on their vacations.  The trick is that Lily and Duncan get to pick out the gifts for each member without nothing anything about them. 

"Long time, no see, JP," Duncan daps him up after sliding into Justin's car. Lily slides into the back. Justin explains the purpose and plan for the video on the car ride to the downtown area. He will say a name and whatever Lily and Duncan give him for that person, he has to buy without exceptions. It will be a different store for each person. 

The first shop was Wood Wares. It was Kane's gift. In the beginning, the siblings separated and round up back together by the time they gave Justin and wooden square. Regie once had the boys do a painting segment while doing a Q&A  one time for his channel and Kane's was so good. So he would tell Ratan that it is purely a wooden canvas to use at his leisure. 

The second shop was Thrifty Disguise. It was Izzy's gift. They got a flat cap. Justin is not quite sure if orange is Izzy's color or not. It will give him a chance to dress up with us because he only dresses casually. He really hopes that Izzy l likes it because he does not know how his friend is going to take this gift.

The third shop was Basic Note. It was a music store which was a good thing because it was Oli's gift. There was a table lamp but the shade was full of empty sheet music. Majestic Boutique is where they got a lava lamp for Sebastian. Mrs. Moy had Sebastian make a lava lamp for a science project once. Sole Mate provided Justin's friends to find Manager Ty a pair of docs. Justin is kind of tired of the Louies if he's being honest. TickTock gave them the choice of random clocks for Ryan. The Antique Canvas had a typewriter for Bae so now when he goes into the meetings with Manager Ty, Oli, and Seb, he can write up an outline of the different segments for the video editing with Izzy. 

Regie's gift came from Sports Edition. It was a mini scoreboard. The last store that they went into was the Broken Pot. The store owner took the three friends into the back area where they allow the customers to create their own thing. So that's what they did for three hours designing Darren's gift so the man had better appreciate it.
