A/N: I forgot to put this and only realized when I was sketching what the house looked like, but this takes place maybe a decade after The End, so the trio and the neighbors do have houses now. They got them rebuilt. Sorry for the inconvenience :,)

Edd was bored out of his mind, switching through channels with Tom, Matt, and Ringo in the living room. While petting the cat, they come across a specific news station that being attacked by weird looking.. fish? "Hey, look at this channel!" Edd exclaimed, pointing at the small TV. "What?" Tom asked, looking up from his 'book.' "These special effects are great! Weird that it's on a news channel, though." Edd just shrugged it off, continuing to watch the news reporters bones snap and bend in weird ways. One of their eyes fill with darkness and that liquid starts flowing from that eye. "Edd, this is so gross. I'd rather go through one of the zombie apocalypses we faced in like 2005 again." Tom shuddered, watching the news reporter's head turn and snap and skin literally melting. "I'm not changing it unless Ringo doesn't like it, plus, you're reading." The brunette pointed at Tom.

"Ugh, whatever." Tom scoffed, going back to his book. "Does anyone else get haunted vibes from this channel? Like, it feels like this is actually happening." Matt asked the two, slouching deeper into the couch, "I guess you're right." Edd shuddered, letting it sink it before setting Ringo down on the couch to get some cola from the refrigerator. Edd opened the refrigerator just to see it was completely empty, frowning at the sight. "Hey guys, can we run to the store to get some cola?" He yelled from the kitchen, hoping the two heard. "Yeah sure, let's go." Tom nodded, closing his book and setting down on the arm rest. Matt just got up and pet Ringo before going to get his little tote-bag with his face on it. Matt literally had no idea what pollution was, (because of course he doesn't) but he enjoyed bringing this little bag around whenever he or the gang went to go shopping somewhere.

Edd grabbed his keys and the moment he stepped outside, he knew something was wrong. After the many experiences he's had with friends in the past, he could now sense whenever something or someone is off. But, of course, these experiences have downsides, by downsides, I mean he gets used to seeing zombies or vampires like it was a normal thing.

As he was driving, he came across some mutated people and sealife, but like I said, he saw them like it was normal and just ran them over, turning on the window wipers for the blood and chemical that splattered onto the windshield. "Should we say sorry?" Matt asked, peeking out at the front of the car, "Nah." Tom snickered, looking at the sky from his window. "Anyone else getting weird vibes? It feels so off today." Edd asked the two, parking the car. "I guess you're kind of right. The air feels thick." Tom shuddered, putting his hands in his pockets. "Let's just get my cola and get the hell outta here." Edd cringed, parking the car and getting out of the car. After the other two got out of the car, Edd locked the car doors before entering the store and grabbing 6 packs of those can pack things and headed for the register.

"How is he so fast?" Matt murmured to Tom, "I literally have no idea. Maybe its the sugar in the cola??" Tom responded, shrugging and just watching Edd trying to pay the mutated cashier. "Ugh, whatever! I'm just not gonna pay then!" Edd shouted, marching out of the store. "Guess that's our queue." Tom said to Matt as they both walked out and back into he car.

~small time skip~

The three got out of the car, locking it as soon as everyone was out. Tom and Matt watched Edd licking his lips at his pack of cola, side-eyeing each other. Tom was unlocking the door when they here screams from their neighbor's house. Then it turned into cries of help and fear, followed by Mark running out of the house with fear and panic in his eyes.

Eduardo was pushed out of the house with a stranger on top of him. But that stranger.. what happened to them? Black ooze was spilling out of one of their eyes. That 'eye' was pitch black while the other was completely normal. They were smiling, drooling the same ooze that was coming out of their eye. The skin on one of their arms were.. disintegrating. Like acid had been poured directly onto their arm. You can see something eating away at their bones and tissue, and that arm was twisting and bending in a way that no regular human could. What happened to him? "Eduardo! Wait, I can't lose you too-!!" Mark got closer to Eduardo and the stranger, hesitating as the stranger was trying to bite him. "Mark, I-, I'm sorry! Go! Just fucking go, dammit!" He yelled before letting out a loud, blood curtailing scream as the stranger bit his shoulder. Edd, Tom, Matt, and Mark watched in horror as the hispanic's shoulder started to melt away and his left eye filling with the black ooze. His neck snapped, his head turning into the grass and legs bending backwards.

Mark jumped the fence that separated them and turned to the three, "We need to go inside, NOW." Tom unlocked the door and everyone went inside. Matt and Edd grabbed the couch and barricaded the door with it. "What the hell happened to them?!" Tom asked, literally traumatized from what he just witnessed. "I think.. I think that's what we saw on the news.." Matt uttered, trembling at the thought. "Guys?" Edd turned to the others

"This is an apocalypse waiting to happen."

Hi everyone! I'm sorry this part took so long to publish, I've been procrastinating since I have a lot of projects I want to do and school is coming up. But I plan on writing more since it's getting into the actual apocalypse and surviving and stuff. Hope you enjoyed!
