Chapter One

"Sky",Vierta called. "You always delay in the mornings","I'm almost done,Vierta"Sky screamed. Vierta sighed and buried her hands in her blonde long hair that matched her eyes that were as green as a deep forest,lips as pink as bubble gum and skin as white as snow.
"I'm leaving,I'll be late" Vierta screamed as she walked towards the door. Just as Vierta was about to touch the door knob, she heard loud footsteps rush into the living room."Told you I'd hurry"said Sky with a smile that looked good with her lips as red as red wine,her eyes as blue as the ocean and her skin so white and pale.
"Don't tell me you were about to go without me"Sky said in a serious yet low tone." Argh, let's just go already or we'll be super late"Vierta scolded.
Vierta and Sky usually went for training on how to control their powers since demons caused destruction whenever they lost control of their powers. Vierta knew how to control her powers but Sky didn't.Probably because Vierta was a bit older than Sky. They've been best friends ever since childhood.

Demons loved teleporting and since Vierta knew how to, she teleported Sky to what seemed to be an institution."Sky, Vierta, welcome"Thaire welcomed. Thaire had been a trainor in the institution for years and a friend of Sky and Vierta's. "Thanks, Thaire" Sky said as she grabbed the daggers Thaire seemed to have thrown to her in air. "Shall we begin" Thaire said with a faint smile."Sure" was all Sky said before she swung the dagger on her right close to Thaire's throat.Thaire seemed to have sensed her move since he dodged it before he teleported to Sky's back, grabbed her left arm as fast as ever before he brought it close to her throat while he held her right arm tightly behind at her back."Sense and Dodge your opponent's movements"Thaire whispered to Sky's ear in a low tone before he freed her, quickly taking steps back.

"How"Sky screamed as she noticed Thaire leave. Thaire stood still when he seemed to have heard Sky. Thaire looked back, quickly walking towards Sky before leaned in and said"When your fighting, you need to study your opponent's movements and try to dodge every attack, then attack when they least expect it"in a low tone. Sky continuously looked at Thaire in silence and this seemed to have confused Thaire as he spoke again"Anything else" in a questioning tone.
"How do you do that" Sky suddenly asked. Thaire looked at Sky with a confused look before he answered "What" in a serious tone. "That, that teleporting thing"Sky said in a serious tone." Oh",Thaire said with a chuckle before he spoke again"It's easy, I'll teach you, but not today, I have to train the kids"as he leaned back, quickly making his way to what looked like a back yard.

"Arghh" Sky screamed as she fell on her knees. Vierta let out a sigh before she walked towards Sky, slowly crouching down to Sky's level before she spoke in a convincing tone "You'll learn it, but only when the time is right "" What! Well, okay, so I guess the time is always wrong, right"Sky complained." Look, it's for the best"Vierta assured Sky." But why does he always walk out on me whenever I bring up that topic"Sky said in a low tone before she spoke again when she noticed Vierta stare at her with a sincere look on her face"It's for the best, right"Sky added.
"Yep" Vierta said as she helped Sky get up.

Vierta was just about to take a step when she heard a familiar voice say "Vierta".Sky and Vierta both saw Dyl, Vierta's boyfriend who was gone for two two years and didn't let anyone know where he was, not even Vierta.Dyl is a vampire that didn't know how to control himself as he would hurt everyone around him when he got angry.

"Why're you here" Vierta angrily said."I..." "Go away"Vierta cut Dyl off before she added "And don't come back" in a serious tone."Look Vierta,I couldn't control myself and we both know that I would've hurt you if I stayed" Dyl explained.Vierta stared at Dyl with relief that he was okay but covered with anger that he didn't let her know about anything.

Vierta quickly turned to Sky, her eyes tearing up,before she spoke in an angry commanding tone,"Come on,Sky,let's go" "Vie...." "No", Vierta cut Sky off before she motioned for Sky to follow her. Sky looked with a comforting expression on her face before she followed Vierta who angrily walked out of the institution. Dyl looked up with a sigh before he lowered his gaze,quickly supporting himself down on the couch that was just behind him.

"Vierta","Vierta" Sky kept screaming as Vierta continuously walked fast leaving Sky behind trying to catch up with her."Viertaaa"Sky finally screamed in anger."What" was all Vierta angrily said in a loud tone."What's up with you" Sky worriedly asked in a loud tone. Vierta looked at Sky with a confused look on her face before she spoke "What's up with me,I don't know, honestly"in a low tone." Look,I know all this happened at once and I also know it's hard for you but can you just calm down"Sky said in a serious yet worried tone. " Sure" Vierta said with a sigh before she teleported. Sky,who now stood alone,crossed her arms over her chest before she let out a sigh.

Vierta kept moving back and forth in her room when she suddenly stood still in notice of something. Vierta seemed to have sensed a presence in the room. She could sense a scent in the room. The scent seemed familiar to her. The scent of fresh roses. Vierta quickly looked back and froze in place when she saw something. It was Dyl. Dyl was standing a few inches away from Vierta.
Vierta tried to take steps back away from Dyl but Dyl acted stubborn as he kept moving closer to her. Vierta held her breath when her back hit the wall behind her.

Shivers ran down Vierta's spine as Dyl leaned in now so close to her. What was this man doing to her. Vierta tried to hide the way her body reacted to Dyl's closeness by walking away from him.
Vierta felt electricity run through her body when Dyl gently grabbed her arm as she tried to walk away from him."Why're you doing this"Dyl said in a soft tone as he walked closer to Vierta." Why did you leave me"," Why didn't you say goodbye","Why didn't you tell me about anything"Vierta asked herself all these questions.
"Where've you been for the past two years"was all Vierta asked Dyl in a serious tone.

Dyl suddenly became silent before he slowly let go of Vierta's arm. Vierta looked down at her arm when she felt Dyl let go of it. She looked back at Dyl when she noticed a weird expression on his face. Dyl's facial expression showed that he didn't have the answer to her question.
"Why're you suddenly quiet?" Vierta yelled out of the blue.
Dyl still stood quiet before he took a step back, teleporting out of the blue,leaving Vierta alone in her room.

Vierta didn't seem to understand what had just happened as kept looking around as if expecting that Dyl would come back. Vierta turned to bed,quickly walking towards it before she fell on it,grabbing her soft pillow that she tightly enclosed in a hug as years rolled down her eyes.
Vierta remembered how she and Dyl spent so much time together in the past. They had so many beautiful memories together and they shared love,pain,anger and happiness together. Vierta didn't seem to understand what was going on at that moment. Dyl's silence made Vierta so suspicious and curious about where Dyl was. Could Dyl be hiding something from Vierta.
