Tess's Pov

"Yo shorty you're on!" I heard Adrian shout as he came into the room. I eyed him with distaste as a smirk appeared on his lips.

"I am not short, I am miniature-sized!" I said defensively with a frown. He burst out laughing and I walked over and stomped on his foot, making him cry out in pain, again. I smirked at his irritated expression.

"Why do you keep doing that, shouldn't you be worshipping the path I walk on?" he asked seriously and I huffed in frustration. I was just about to come back with a fabulous comeback, yep I said fabulous, when I saw my boss coming into the room. I guessed she was in her late 30's but she still looked youthful, it was the first time I had met her since we had only spoken over the phone. I had a feeling I recognised her but I couldn't place her, I grinned at her and went over to great her, all the while Adrian watched me curiously.

"Tess my dear, I see you have met-"she started but I cut her off, my eyes widening in realisation.

"You're in my dance class!" I shouted, jumping up and down while clapping my hands. She smiled when she placed me with my hyper attitude; she had always been so nice to me and laughed at my sense of humour. I was confused to why I didn't place her over the phone by her voice but I shrugged it off.

"You dance?" Adrian cut in amused and surprised, my boss, who I now recognise as Lisa, answered him.

"Of course, she is a fabulous dancer. Lots of energy" she beamed and I laughed. She then went on to tell me about what sort of songs she wanted me to sing and such, as she left she took Adrian with her saying that I might want some alone time to practice or whatever. As Lisa made her way out to the hall I saw Adrian pause near the door before turning around slightly to look at me.

"You owe me a dance" he said, walking out before I could protest. I let a smile cover my lips as I squealed and ran out the door, passing him as I skipped down the corridor.

"I'm faster than you!" I laughed as I continued to make my way to the stage. I heard his laugher behind me as I went and I couldn't help but laugh with glee along with him. It didn't take me long to locate the stage. I had gone through the back and saw a lot of important people on the dance floor. The singer before me had just finished and signalled for me to take over while she took a break. I nodded smiling and she shot me a grateful look, as I looked out towards the stage I realised no one was barely on the dance floor. I found it strange since most of the people were about my age. As I walked on stage I realised why Lisa wanted me to sing slightly less classical songs like the girl before had, it was due to the fact everyone looked so...bored. I saw Dana and Jack in the corner and Adrian by the drinks. I winked at him which seemed to please him before walking towards the middle of the stage with a microphone. The lights came on and I told the band what song I wanted first. They widened their eyes but nodded happily; seem they were bored of the classical stuff as well. As the music started I belted out the lyrics causing everyone's eyes to snap to me. YAY!

I smirked as I saw the people my age coming over to the dancing area to start dancing together. I looked at Adrian who was generally shocked I could sing, and what I was singing. But as I continued to scan the crowd while singing I caught Jack's eye, but his emotions were all over the place. He looked confused, angry, relived, happy and jealous? I shrugged it off and continued to strut around the stage singing. I was really putting everything I had into this and even the adults started to join in. I was only paid to do one more song after this since I was only here to give the proper singer a break. I know easy money right. As I finished my first song everyone groaned in disappointment but cheered as I shouted I wasn't finished yet.

I saw Adrian approach the stage and I winked, he returned it with a grin and I looked around to see everyone was a lot more relaxed then I first thought. You would have thought like I did that all the royalty and rich adults would be stuck up and hate my modern choice of music...but no they were actually dancing in the background with us teens. I laughed gleefully suddenly but covered it up by telling the band what else to play. They all had big gins of their faces and I could tell they were enjoying themselves. I saw a lot of couples on the dance floor so I decided on something sensual with a beat. The band started to play and I quickly swapped my microphone for a head set so I could dance as well. As the music started to play I saw everyone cheer and grin at my choice, while Adrian looked annoyed. I looked at him confused before I laughed at the fact he wanted me to dance, well I don't see why not!

"Tess!" Adrian shouted shocked when I jumped into his arms as the intro started. Everyone on the floor looked at me alarmed while I caught Lisa in the background. I winked at her and she laughed slightly as she continued to sway with what I guessed to be her husband. I returned my gaze to Adrian who was looking at me with alarm and I laughed and jumped out of his arms, I started to sing to the music as I wrapped my arms around his neck. He soon followed on...
