Calm, quiet, cynical, serious, reserved. Those were the traits that make up the first class assassin, Jessica Mariah Adkins; or just Jei. That pretty much sums up who I am. The one who is quick to action and open to her surroundings. (Not to mention, brutally sarcastic) Taking the image of a regular teen,I live the life of a quiet American girl by day, and a ruthless assassin by night. I was born training in an assassin training camp my whole life, with every single lesson drilled into my brain since day one. I'm not sure where I came from, who my parents were, or if they are even alive to this day. But one thought always stands out above all these thoughts I ponder;
I could really give two craps.
Aside from my little intro, wouldn't you like to know where the magic happens? The base of which I call my home is not your regular/exotic James Bond type of shit, it's actually located at a popular cafe in Illinois. Where we receive our missions, and serve our customers. Now doesn't that sound pleasant? Outside and inside is just your everyday cafe, but when you touch a certain spot in the kitchen, or pull on a certain plant, you're sent down to one of the most high-tech agencies in America. With that being said; it's a WHOLE lot of fun! (If you don't mind killing people) Now let me tell you where I am, now...
~~
Here I am, seating myself on the roof of the cafe with my sniper in hand; fulfilling yet another one of my missions. On a mission, there is no absolute room for error. If you miss a shot, either you or a group of innocent people may die at your hands. It doesn't matter if that man has a family, or if that woman is one of our most popular customers. You. Have. To. Follow. Orders. It's a part of our life oath.
"Alright, a little to the left", says my scope partner.
"Got it.."
"No, I meant the other left!"
"Bruh! Then say 'My left'!" I grumbled and pointed it the other way.
"Point up aaaand.. Now!" I shoot the second he calls it.
"Crisis averted." I said into my earpiece.
"And mission accomplished!" he said as he shot me a sideways smile. I laughed and pushed his face away gently.
"Quit being cheeky, Kyle." I stood up, shouldering my sniper as we made our way back down. Another mission accomplished early means I get the rest of the day off, which is rare for me; and it felt good! Things were actually running smoothly for me until the agency got a little distress call.
"Calling all employees to the kitchen. I repeat, all employees come to the kitchen." The speaker called out on our way down stairs. Damn it, I thought I was on a roll. Kyle and I groaned and slid down the banister to save time. Waiters and waitresses came out from all sides, rushing to the kitchen. I turned the little Open side over to Closed and locked the entrance before pushing through the kitchen doors. Looking to my right, there was a long silver sink with three faucets. Kyle turned on both knobs on the right faucet while I did the left. We then turned on the knobs of the middle faucet and the whole thing caved in and everyone rushed into the dark opening. Kyle looked into it nervously after everyone went in.
"Laaadies first!~" He gestured to the dark cavern with a fake smile.
"Yep. YOU first, girlfriend." I pushed him into the dark and followed after. We walked in, the sink closing behind us to be left in the darkness.
"Ugh, I hate it when we go this way.." Kyle mumbled grumpily.
"Ha. Pussy." I smirked and punched what felt like his arm.
"Agh! You hit me in the dick!" he groaned.
"What!? Ew! Really!?"
"Pfft. No." He laughed and lightly patted my head.
Finding ourselves caught up with the rest of the group, murmurs echoed and filled the large amounts of space around us. The dark tunnel soon emitted a dull light and a metal door with a keypad comes into view. One of us stepped up to put in a 10 digit password and a beep echoes as the door unlocks. A much brighter light pierced our eyes and revealed the Base. It's a large underground building with many doors leading to rooms of many uses. Upon walking inside, the murmuring gradually grew louder.
"Hey! Did you hear about that distress call?"
"The one from Britain? Yeah!"
"Damn aren't they in trouble.."
"Dude shut up! We might be in deep shit, too!" I raise an eyebrow and Kyle shrugs.
"Alright, you little crumpet-humping maggots! Stand at attention and look to your leader!" We turn our heads to a man looking down at us from a balcony. His tough build and angry features make the perfect intimidating demeanor. Not to mention his jet black buzz-cut and that glare that makes you wanna shit and piss yourself at the same time.
We stood at attention as he made his way down, Seeing him get shorter and shorter as he approaches us.
"We got Intel from British agencies that mafia groups are getting a little pissed at the both of us for, I don't know, killing off their bosses, stopping their little drug and sex trafficking to a solid halt. No biggie. And now it seems that they'll stop at Nothing, to overthrow our economy." He says, looking over at everyone with his jagged daggers for eyes. "But don't you worry your little shit heads too much! We're not the only countries that may have their necks deep in sweat and drugs. Their doing their little tour internationally! Generous, right!? Now what I want you fuck-nuggets to do is prepare your asses so I can assign you a country to travel to for the whole damn mission!" He looks at us and points, barking out his last order,
"You better get ready to get to Britain, pipsqueak, because I'm sending you to Spy School!"
Well Fuck...
