Claudia was trekking through the thick forest. It had been around a month since Viren and her had attempted to conquer Xadia. She was on her way to the small town nearby the cave to sell her hot morning brown potions. Claudia went to the town nearly everyday as it was her main point of income.
She stopped her steps and turned to the tall bush's, the was a rustling sound. She waited a minute but nothing came of it so she continued her journey. Just as she continued the long walk an elf tackled her to the ground, they had tan skin and moss green hair. As fast as they fell to the ground the elf was on his feet again "Very sorry miss but you might want to run." He said helping Claudia to her feet.
"Why would I need to run?" Claudia questioned making sure none of her potion bottles broke.
A loud screech was heard and an owlbear came barreling out of the bushes "That is why!" The elf yelled grasping the mages hand and sprinting the opposite direction.
"Why is it chasing us?!" Claudia asked frantically after re gaining her footing and running instead of being dragged.
"I was gathering berries and I may or may not have stumbled into the owlbears nest." The elf answered jumping over a log.
Claudia followed in suit "I'll ask details later but right now we need to focus on not dying." She responded casting an illusion that went in a different direction, the illusion moved slower that the running pair so the owlbear chased it.
Once to safety the mystery elf let go of Claudia's hand, the elf leaned over and wheezed trying to gain his breath.
"That was an exlierating start to the morning." Claudia spoke "My I know my hero's name?"
The elf nodded and paused for a second "My name is Terrestrius." He said with a warm smile "My I know yours?"
"I'm Claudia." She replied returning the smile.
"Trees to meet you." Terrestrius said with a small bow.
Claudia laughed and smiled widley "A punny guy I see."
"Puns are the most cheesiest types of jokes and by far the best."
"Strongly agreed. Well I need to continue my walk to town but it was great meeting you Ter- Tere.. Terre.." Claudia paused her words "Could I call you Terry for short?"
"Of course, see you around?"
"See you around." Claudia said waving to Terry before continuing her journey.
