THIRD PERSON POV -
Standing in the elevator and listening to the woman beside him patiently with his blonde locks bouncing slightly every time he would nod, his blue eyes still holding the same twinkle from all those years back and the expressions changing from impressed to shocked and then to just an encouraging smile, Taehyung still looked as beautiful as ever. Even after seventeen years, the blonde was still captivating.
Jungkook's heart raced even more when he saw the door to the elevators closing. He wanted to run but his legs didn't supported. He wanted to call Taehyung's name but what came out of his throat was a mere whisper. His hands shook as he saw the doors closing.
The two men looked at the ravenette in confusion. They were clueless as the man who was talking on phone was now suddenly shaking. The ravenette stumbled and he would have fell if the two boys hadn't came in action at the right time. Both of them held the boy by his shoulder but Jungkook shrugged them off when his mind finally came back in action.
He just saw the boy he had been searching since years.
The boy wiped his tears and ran towards the elevators. Punching the buttons, he cursed angrily when no elevator was available. Without wasting any time, he ran towards the stairs.
Praying the almighty to help him find the blonde, the boy ran down the stairs like crazy. Checking every floor for the blonde, he ran here and there with his breathe getting heavy every time he would not be able to see Taehyung on any floor.
His legs were shaking, cells screaming at the ravenette to calm down and stop for a moment but Jungkook wasn't ready to let Taehyung go this time but not everything happens as per our plan.
The boy bend down and placed his hands on his knees as he huffed defeatedly. Standing at the ground floor, Jungkook cursed his faith and the tears that he was able to hold inside somehow broke the barrier and came flowing out onto the cheeks, his hairs a mess by now as sweat dripped down from them even when it was winters in Paris.
People around him didn't stop to even glance at him. Everyone was busy in enjoying themselves while Jungkook closed his eyes in disappointment. He finally let his legs give up and sat on the floor on his knees. A business tycoon whose name is enough to finalise a deal was sitting on the ground and crying on his destiny.....
A powerful person whose name only dominate the business field was crying helplessly.
But they say, its not money who makes you strong, its your beloved who controls your position. You are strong if they are beside you and weak if they are gone.
Jungkook felt like he was standing on the same spot where he was seventeen years ago. He lost Taehyung again. The boy didn't try to hide his weak self from anyone as he let his tears roll down his cheeks. Maybe, God was punishing him for not valuing Taehyung earlier, for not realising what he was losing slowly due to his irresponsible actions. Maybe, it was his punishment that even when the blonde was just a few feet away from him just a few minutes ago, he couldn't beg for his forgiveness.
