A/N: I dedicated this story for my best friend JoeyKirkpatrickJr, I based our upcoming series The Adventures of Sigma and my newest upcoming story Over and Beyond.

Prehistora is often called the most hellish place on Terra, mainly due to the many predators that roam the primordial continent. There is one predator, however, that gains such a fierce reputation some have called it the Great Beast: a male Shinigamiotyrannus named Gorgon. But even this nightmarish super predator had a humble beginning. His story began, like all dinosaurs, with an egg.

It's the end of the dry season in Prehistora, and there are signs of life coming back to the unknown paradise. Buried beneath the prehistoric soil are at least 3 eggs. They are the only survivors from a clutch of 19 potential offspring: many predators have raided the nest tragically. Quiet chirping could be heard from within the eggs, and they start to budge a little.

It's time for them to hatch. The babies are ready to face life's first challenge: breaking out of their egg shells. After some struggling, a baby Shinigamiotyrannus breaks out. He calls out as the other two near him begin to hatch too. Nearby is a gigantic female Shinigamiotyrannus, who hears the squeaking hatchlings and looms over the nest. Luckily for the newborns, this is their mother, Borealia.

Borealia: *smelling her offspring* It is time. Come into the world, my children. May the sacred law bless your awakening.

Gently, Borealia uses her massive feet to free them. The three hatchlings then jump out of the mound wildly, eager to explore their new world. Borealia examines them and licks them clean. She know the odds of them surviving to adulthood are low, but she will help them until they are old enough to fend for themselves. In years, they may grow into gigantic predators like she is. The three chicks chirp at her and she smiles. The first one is already darting about wildly, chasing her tail until she catches it.

Borealia: You have an eager spirit. Your name shall be Alpina.

The second one jumps Alpina playfully, and they start nipping at one another. They squeal as the they fight amongst themselves.

Borealia: I will call you Gorgon.

As Alpina and Gorgon continued to play, Borealia sees the third one starting to chew on his egg shells until he sees her. Reluctant to approach her at first, he gently walks towards and smells her, then she licks the chick whom then nuzzled her.

Borealia: Welcome, my little Akuma.

Borealia suddenly picks up an unpleasant scent. It's a trio of Imperioraptors nearby, waiting to snatch one of the babies. She knows at their age, they are as likely to be the hunted as the hunters. She gets up and growls at the two raptors, forcing them to back away in fright.

Borealia: *snarling* If it's food you two are after, look elsewhere! This is not your territory.

Imperioraptor 1: We can't resist the sight of a fresh snack.

Imperioraptor 2: Or should we say three little bites?

They snicker, eying the babies hungrily. The adult Shinigamiotyrannus snaps her jaws at them, catching one of them in her jaws, killing him and roars at the other two menacingly.

Borealia: You have been warned. Leave my nest, now! Or I'll feed you all to my young.

The raptors reluctantly leave to search for easier prey. Borealia turns to her hatchlings as they nuzzle her leg. She knows the fresh scent they have will also bring in bigger predators.

Borealia: Come, loves. We must find a new home for you to thrive within.

Without hesitating, she opens her mouth, and the three babies crawl inside, then the four leave together.
