Chapter 1-Chasing Pavements

Ive made up my mind, no need to think it over. Today will be the day that ill get up the nerve to ask out Angel. I just dont know what to do. Im so scared, what if she denies me? The thoughts all raced through my head. The bell rang, and i snapped out of my trance.
I walked over to her locker, and took a deep breath. I tapped on her shoulder. "Hey Tyson" she said, as she turned around to look at me. I got really scared, and said "bye, see ya tomorrow" and walked over to my locker. How could i have been so stupid? Tears started building up in my eyes as i walked out the door of my school and headed home.
I felt a vibrate in my pocket, someone just texted me. It was Angel. Not now, i thought. How could i have just chickened out like that? Maybe Angel and Julie are right, i am just a chicken nugget. I looked at the text and it said "What was that about?" What was i gonna say? I tried to think of a reply but nothing came to my mind. I couldnt just tell her that i was going to ask her out but i got scared. That would be stupid. I just replied "nothing, dont worry about it c ya tomorrow bye" and left it at that and continued on my lonely walk home.
Should i give up? I didnt know what to do. I dont want to give up on the girl of my dreams but it seems like the only option at this moment. Or should i just keep chasing pavements? Should i stay determined? Maybe i could walk to her house to apoligize. But what would it do? What if it leads nowhere? Would it be a waste? I decided to take a left down the sidewalk, instead of usually going straight. If i went left, it would lead to Angels house. We were good friends, and we go over to each others houses alot. I just hoped i wouldnt chicken out again, because then there would be no chance at all with her.
I kept walking, until i reached her door. "Ok Tyson, you have to do this" i told myself as i took a deep breath and knocked on her door.
Luckily, she was the only one home. It wouldve been awkward with someone else also home.
"Hey Tyson, come on in" she said as she answered the door. "Hey Angel" i answered. "If you dont mind me asking, what happened? You showed up at my locker and then just left" i looked down, i was really embarrased. "Well, look, can i tell you something?" I asked, looking into her blue eyes. "Sure" she said. "Well, i-i l-love you" i stuttered. I looked away from her, scared about her reaction. "Tyson?" She seemed really confused. Great, i just blew it, i probably just ruined our friendship and any possible chance of dating her. Tears formed in my eyes, again and i just ran out the door. She ran after me though "Tyson, i, i love you too!" She said. I turned around, and ran back to her door. "You do?" I asked, suddenly everything just seemed like a dream. "Yes i do! Ever since we met in 7th grade, 4 years ago" i started smiling. I felt like i was on top of the world, like the happiest guy ever. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked. "Sure!" We both sat on the couch and i gave her a big kiss. "You have no clue how long ive been wanting to to that!" I said. "Me too!" She replied, and i kissed her again.
Note ohhhh Angel!! Gotta love me! So every chapter is gonna be named after a song, and will be about the songs meaning and have some of the lyrics in it. This one is chasing pavements by adele!
