TW: Rape, abuse and neglect, please don't read if it makes you uncomfortable I'll put a star where it starts and ends so you can skip the bit.

Anelia met Sam almost every single day, they'd sit and get to know each other, each and every day she grew closer and closer to the shifter man and each day she got more comfortable with him which absolutely confused her as she had never felt comfortable before with anyone that was not his family.

She hummed a little as she dipped her toes into the water smiling at the warmth she felt from the water.
Anelia missed alot about her human life but none more than the feeling of being warm and cosy.

She looked around the woods with a small sigh, it was quite late mostly all humans would be asleep now but of course she couldn't sleep so that's why she was in the woods, living continuously for the last ten years had made her exhausted, she truly did not think she could like a life of eternity.

For her she was supposed to finish high school, attend a university, get a job, find a significant other, get married, have children and then die of old age surrounded by children and grandchildren and yet now she was stuck at the same age, she could never stay in one place for too long, she couldn't eat, sleep, dream, all she needed was blood once a week and she would be fine but she hated drinking blood whether it's was from an animal or not.

At the moment she wanted nothing more than to curl up in bed and pretend to sleep for days on end but Edward was at home and whenever she tried to act slightly normal he would yell at her which she hated beyond anything in the world, she hated men shouting.

Currently she sat with her head laid on the floor as she looked up at the bright stars.

She sighed softly to herself as she closed her eyes, she stayed there for hours relaxing and enjoying her time away from Edward, until a noise from the forest made her jump up but instead of finding a stranger she locked eyes on the familiar brown eyes she had grown to find comfort in.

She looked to the large wolf and smiled softly "hey Sam" she whispered as she sat down again and watched as the wolf padded over to her before he laid his head on her lap making her smile, she somehow always found comfort when he did that.

She smiled and ran her hand through his fur gently "your out very late" she whispered as she looked up at the moon and sighed softly "I'm kind of glad you are though, I have no idea why you make me want to tell you everything about my life but I do" she whispered "I'm tired sammy, I'm so tired of this life already, I never wanted to be this monster" she mumbled

Sam stared at her for a moment before he whined softly and nudged her with his nose as he tried to offer her some comfort, she smiled a little and kissed his head gently "you and those wolves I've met have given me some sort of purpose, I get to cook again and people enjoy it and I like that, but soon we'll move, yet again, I'll start school all over again for the third time and my life will repeat over and over" she mumbled "sometimes I wish no one had found me" she whispered

She watched as Sam growled lowly before he stood up and rushed off. She sighed softly and frowned as she looked down at the water infront of her. She rubbed her eyes slightly before she looked up to see a very human Sam walking towards her.

She blinked slightly and smiled softly "hello" she whispered softly
"Hi" he mumbled as he walked over to her and pulled her into his arms and held her tightly
"Don't you ever say you wished no one had found you ever again, you are so important to many people Anelia" he mumbled as he laid his head on hers.

She froze for a moment before she wrapped her arms around him too and laid her head on his chest and sighed softly at the warmth she felt from him.
"I'm just tired, I shouldn't be I've only been this for ten years but I'm so tired already sammy" she whispered
He sighed "I know, I know you are but don't do anything stupid, you may like how life in forks turns out" he mumbled
She smiled a little "I already absolutely love how my life in forks has become since meeting you and Seth, I don't even understand why any of you big puppies talk to me" she whispered
He chuckled softly "we happen to like you, we love your cooking, your compassion for all of us, you are far different to any vampire we have ever met, none of us feel the need to kill you" he mumbled
"Feelings mutual" she smiled

She sighed as they both sat by the lake, she stayed in his arms and slowly closed her eyes as she relaxed into him. "You should be at home" she mumbled
"Now how can I be at home when you are out here all alone" he mumbled
"You'll get cold with the wind and holding me" she whispered
"I'm perfectly content" he mumbled as he kissed her head gently

She smiled a little and curled into him "something bads coming I can feel it" she mumbled
"So can I but whatever it is the wolves and I will protect you" he mumbled
"I'll do exactly the same" she whispered "the four of you that I have met have changed my life" she mumbled
"You have changed ours for the better" he whispered

They both sat there for most of the night curled into each other's embrace and smiled softly as they talked to each other about their dreams and their ones in life.

Anelia bit her lip gently as she looked down "I'd like to tell you my story" she whispered softly
He frowned a little before he clocked on to what she was implying before nodded "only if your comfortable" he mumbled
"I am" she mumbled

She sighed a little to herself before she gently grabbed his hand and started to play with his fingers
"I was in my senior year of high school, I wasn't popular, I was the quite kid that would sit in the library and read all the time, I'd study hard in school and then when I got home things would change my mother was a drunk and my step father was abusive" she whispered "he liked to make a game of his abuse, how many bruises he could inflict before anyone saw them, nobody ever did though" she mumbled

He gently grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently giving her some comfort.

She smiled softly at him before she continued "I went out one day, all I wanted was a book from the store I'd been saying for weeks for it but as I turned the corner I realised I had made a mistake, it was the same dark ally I usually walked down only this time there were a group of men" she whispered before she took an unneeded breath
"You don't need to continue" he mumbled

"I do" she whispered "I walked down it thinking they wouldn't notice me but they did, I tried to fight them off I really did but I was too weak, one girl against four men" she mumbled "didn't work out well, for hours they took it in turns until they'd hurt me so much that I was bleeding out, Rosalie smelled the blood and called dad, I don't remember much after he arrived all I remember is the pain I felt which I later found out was me turning" she whispered

She gripped his hand tighter but he didn't seem to mind instead he gently ran his thumb over her knuckles.

"I woke up and rose was there again, she told me that they turned me, the damage those men inflicted would have killed me, it took two years for me to be comfortable around dad and my brothers, I'm never really comfortable around men but with you and the pack that I've met you've all given me a sense of home and have made me completely comfortable" she whispered

"We I'll always make you comfortable, nobody will ever touch you like that again Anelia, I and my pack will protect you until the day this world ends" he whispered as he placed a small kiss on her head

She looked up at him and smiled a little as she laid her head on his shoulder gently "I believe you" she whispered

In that moment Sam knew he would never allow her to feel that type of pain again that he would always protect her even if it was from people like those men, her step dad and even from people like Edward.
