"Jimin got worried when you left, told me to check up." Yoongi said, his speech slow. Jungkook just nodded, but once he realised that the other was not able to see him, he hummed.Ah, so the one time he spoke with the younger in a gathering was not because he wanted. It was because one of the group's caregivers was worried. Not surprising.
"I'm okay. Just needed fresh air."
"Smoking a cigarette is pretty much the opposite of getting fresh air." The elder snickered. Jungkook rolled his eyes, moving a bit more to the side once he heard the other's feet dragging towards the bench.
"Mind your business." He shot back, head turning towards Yoongi who just made himself comfortable. The bench squeaked in agony.
Great. Just great. Right when Jungkook started to enjoy his alone time, this bastard had to come in and ruin it. The scent he tried to escape from was tickling his nose again, invading his body, especially his stomach. Perhaps he won't get another hit, he wasn't going to risk it.
Silence found it's way back, the only sound being Yoongi's deep breathing. It was strangely deep. Perhaps he was sick too. Wouldn't be surprising, even though they did this shit for long enough, they still had no feeling of boundaries or limits.
Jungkook put down his cigarette, leaving it's butt in the ash tray. He would've loved to stay here longer, but somehow sitting next to your so called "fuck buddy" was not as pleasant as one might think.
Or perhaps that wasn't the only reason. Either way, he decided to brush it off, it was certainly not the time for such thoughts. Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts, it was that one thing that bothered him to his core, he never got rid of them.
"Are you gonna be okay here alone? I'm gonna head back in." Jungkook asked, quickly standing up and grabbing his can of Monster which he didn't even drink from. He wasn't even sure if he genuinely worried for Yoongi, but politeness never hurt him. Except that it did quite a few times.
"Yeah, yeah, go show yourself to Jimin before he rips his head off." He answered, nodding. Jungkook's eyes got used to the dark and now he was able to see the elder more clearly. He nodded back before heading back in.
He felt heavy, even his steps showed it. His hand landed on doorknob and he breathed in deeply, letting it all out afterwards.
"There you are. You good?" Jimin glanced at Jungkook with a cocked eyebrow. Jungkook closed the door behind him, taking the blonde's chair. No way in hell was he going to try and squeeze in on the couch again.
"Yeah, just wanted to smoke. Yoongi looks fucked out though."
"Because he is, Taehyung threw up, so I sent him to you for a distraction." Jimin shrugged. He was still in the kitchen, leaning against the counter with a bowl of ramen.
"Fair." The younger replied, shifting his gaze on the others. Hoseok was also gone, only Namjoon and Seokjin laying on the sofa. Jungkook gave them a small smile, immediately receiving two bright ones in return. They might be a bit busted too, but they still remained cute.
"I think it would be better to stay in for tonight." Hoseok suddenly came into the room with a glass in his hands. Jungkook guessed that he was taking care of Taehyung. He, Jimin and Seokjin were the care takers of the group, Namjoon tried his best to help, but he was a bit awkward with it. Everyone still appreciated his effort though, they knew that he was a very caring person, he just didn't know how to properly express it.
"No shit, we don't want Taehyung to pass out mid way. Just take him to the balcony later, he needs air." Jimin said and climbed onto the counter to sit down. Jungkook had to hold back a smile, his hyung's height was no joke. It was a well written comedy piece.
"Will do." Hoseok rasped out. It was clear to see that he was tired, his face paler and eyes looking heavy, but this time, it wasn't because of drugs. He needed to rest.
"No no, hyung, sit down, I'll take care of Tae." Jungkook jumped up, grabbing the glass from the elder's hand. The red head was about to protest, but he sighed instead.
"Thank you, Kooks." Hoseok chuckled. Jungkook just grinned, pouring some water in and leaving the room. On his way to the bathroom, he heard an annoyed groan from Seokjin. Jungkook's grin momentarily grew bigger with the thought that Hoseok just jumped on them to sleep.
"Hey, Tae, I got some more water." He peeped in, only to find the other on the ground, leaning against the wall. Small sweat drops rolled down his forehead and Jungkook wiped them off with the sleeve of his sweater.
"Thank you." He croaked.
⌘
Everyone was gone. It was already morning, Jungkook stayed to help Jimin clean up everything, he was walking around the room with a trash bag in his hands, collecting empty snack bags, cans and whatnot.
"Thanks, Kook, I think I can deal with this alone now. I know that you have to prepare for a project." Jimin placed his hand on the younger's shoulder. Though Jungkook didn't want to leave just yet, he nodded and placed the bag down.
"Alright. Well, thank you for having us. Again." He smiled at his hyung. Last night wasn't that bad, but he still knew that it caused stress for the other, so he wanted to make sure that Jimin knew he appreciated his kindness.
"Eh, don't mention it. Don't forget, you're not here for free, you bring customers." Jimin said, making Jungkook roll his eyes.
"Yes yes, I know. Gonna go then, I know your neighbors get pissy about how I park my car."
"Oh yeah, they lecture me everytime. Anyways, good luck, see you on Monday." The blonde clicked his tongue and without wasting any time, Jungkook had his shoes on, heading out.
