Steve Harrington was your typical popular high school jock that bullied the less popular kids. He was rich and attractive. He had his group of friends, Tommy and Carol. They were the school It couple and Steve just third wheeled them all the time. He was also on the basketball team. There was one kid Steve enjoyed bullying the most, Jonathan Byers.

Jonathan Byers was not your average kid. He sulked in the hallways and helped his mom out after school every since his dad left he's had to step up. But he doesn't mind it. Jonathan did have some problems at school including being bullied by Steve Harrington. But he had his best friend Robin Buckley to help him through the day.

Jonathans pov

It was a normal day for Jonathan he arrived at school and went over to his locker putting his stuff in as Robin walked over, "So plans after school? And I know you don't work today."

Jonathan smiled at the girl, "Try not to get hate crimes?"

Robin laughed, "I'm sorry that you were outed but I love your humor about it."

Jonathan rolled his eyes, "I wish I told Nancy I was gay outside of school instead of saying it in front of her locker."

Robin leaned on the locker next to Jonathan's laying her head back, "It wasn't your fault. People are nosey as fuck."

Jonathan slammed his locker shut, "I know I'm just glad me and Nancy are still friends."

Robin smiled at him, "Is she? Do you know? Into girls."

Jonathan shrugged, "Don't know. Didn't ask."

Robin looked at him as they both started to walk to class, "What? Why not?"

Jonathan shook his head, "What was I supposed to say? 'Hey yeah, I'm breaking up with you Nance because I'm gay. Oh by chance do you like girls?'"

Robin laughed, "yes exactly that."

The boy laughed at the girl, "Right my bad."

The two walked into class and sat in the back laughing to themselves. Jonathan watches as Steve took a seat in the front of the class.

Steves pov

Steve sat in his seat looking in the back as if it was a habit. Walk in, look in the back, see Jonathan, act as if nothing happened. Steve knew it was wrong. He didn't like Jonathan in any way, but he was strangely attracted to him. He wouldn't ever say anything to anyone though. His parents would beat him till he couldn't breathe.

Tommy sat next to Steve, "The weirdos looking at you."

Steve turned and saw Jonathan looking at him. He faces Tommy, "He's fucking weird. Can't believe he's gay."

Tommy laughed, "Probably while he stares at you all the time. Dude, I bet you could get him to fall in love with you. He'd be lucky to have a guy talk to him that way."

Steve looked at the boy next to him, "Why would I do that? I'm not gay."

Tommy rolled his eyes, "Obviously not. But still, it would be funny. See his face when he realizes it was a lie."

Steve shrugged, "Fine but if I succeed I get your car."

Tommy laughed, "This is gonna be fun."

Steve looked back at Jonathan. He was smiling and talking to Robin. He figured why not it's a harmless joke. And plus, Jonathan wouldn't like a guy like him.
