I had never been to a beach before I wrote "what Beth told me." I took a flight after a long 6 months of extensive therapy, spent it with my sister, and one day we took a daytrip to Bethany Beach in Delaware. I can't swim; I spent the entire afternoon sunbathing, reading My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russel [amazing novel] and writing the drafts for the poetry you see here.

I loved Bethany Beach so much that after we had driven home, showered, eaten dinner, I sat on the couch and I could still feel the waves crashing against my legs. Bethany had a mind of her own, and she left of part of me with her.

This is what she told me.
