Catching up.

There he was, the boy I talked to all of last night.

I was grinning like crazy, kind of nervous too...

I mean what do I do when he comes over here?

I fixed my beany, it was the only thing I could...

I smiled at him, he didn't meet my gaze.

He walked right past me.

Then it hit me.

I look like a guy don't I?

Then another thing hit me.

Wasn't he homeschooled, I told him everything yet he already befriended my enemy.

My exbestfriend, nodded and then sat beside my exboyfriend who Aaron sat inbetween.

Gee, thanks first period.

He knew I went here, wouldn't he scan the room for me?

He obviously recognized Nate from yesterday, he didn't say anything to David, phew.

Then it hit me.

Someone threw a damn airplane at my neck!

I turned around angry.

"Hey!" Said Aaron.

Oulala, he recognized me.

All anger was released right away.

I smiled about to talk, but the teacher decided it was her turn...

"Partner up, it's english... So instead of talking amongst yourselves- Oh a new student! Introduce yourself," She said.

He stood up, dramatic entrance? Kind of.

"Uh, Ok,OK. I'm Aaron." He said, smiling that killer smile.

Some girls chuckled, that was it? Wasn't he gonna give us a description of his life?

"Oh and I was homeschooled, but my mom decided to tell me this morning... That she enrolled me here." He said.

Then came and sat beside me.

Everyone turned around.

My cheeks were burning.

"Delilah, do you want to be my partner?" He asked me.

And like that, besides the murmuring and whispering and rumours spreading.

Me and Aaron hung out for the rest of the year...

6 months later, my kemo ended. I was happily cancer free. I had taken hair enhancing pills.

Two months later, school ended.

We were bestfriends, he came to my 17th birthday party, believe it or not, me and Nate got pretty close.

Aaron was fine with that. I was kinda mad he wasn't bugged out like a boyfriend would be. But, he was my bestfriend after all, he checked in on me just to make sure I knew what I was doing with Nate, and Nate apologized to me, for everything. It was a weight lifted off my shoulder... I told him I didn't care, I was past that, and we hung out like friends did.

I didn't tell anyone my kemo ended, that was going to be a surprise for senior year.

I never seen Aaron all summer break. We texted and he wanted to skype but I wanted it to be a surprise, so I just told him I plain and simple couldn't, I wasn't going to start a fight with Aaron, no... Can't lie to him.

My hair was brown and chin length in May, which is when school ended for us, exams. It was chin length by the middle of June. Neck by mid July. And shoulder by September, just in time to head back to Florida from New York.

The plane flight was horrible.

Coach, not first class, nope coach.

Baby screaming, kid kicking, man snoring, pregnant woman hypervenilating and me, watching a boring old movie.

Never going with my aunt to New York for anything. Ever.
